Just another post complaining about these guys.
Ordered a Duron 600>900, Globalwin FOP32-1 and Abit KT7-RAID from these guys.

The FOP32-1 was on backorder so I wasn't able to play with my new toys until a week and a half later when I recieved what I thought was the FOP32-1. What I did recieve was a vantec HS that subsequently cracked the Duron, but not knowing what the fans actually looked like, I didn't know any better. I thought I was getting the right thing until I tracked down pictures on the net.
The duron wasn't stable at 900, and was default voltage modded to 1.8V with a penciled in L7. Temperature was 65C! L1's were done in pencil (spell SHODDY) and didn't even post...had to do them myself.
The Abit KT7-RAID has had corrupt video problems that hasn't been fixed even with a new PS,CPU/Vid card/numerous Win ME,Win2k,98,98SE installs/VIA and nvidia driver install/codecs/BIOSes/you name it, I tried it...I will be getting it replaced through ABIT, certainly not these bastards.
Ordered another duron, didn't even get a reciept, 1 day later the same chip was $20 less.
These guys are truly the WORST business I have ever dealt with. Don't even think about ordering from them unless you are masochist.
These guys are the devil!OverSUCKerz store

Sorry to hear you had problems with them, I got exactly what I paid for & it was shipped promptly. Guess I got lucky.

It's stories like these that make me nervous whenever I click the "submit order" button.

how did the vantec crack the duron?
i bought a vantec from 2cooltek (they suck btw, the vantec). Slapped the darn thing on and have been churning away at 950 (600 duron) ever since.

runs hot. like 53C under full load in a warm room. If you're getting any hotter than that you must have done something wrong dude.

you DID apply the grease right???

Of course I put grease on:)
I don't even know what model Vantec I have (the box and HS show no model# or anything), but the force required to get the spring on was enormous.

I don't trust alot of these stores, I mean, they are charging for pre OCed chips that anyone can accomplish on their own. On top of which, sometimes the speed they state is reachable IS reachable, for about 5 minutes under win 98 ;), anyway, I prefer to buy retail.

I bought a Vantec HSF from 2CoolTek and I never had a problem getting it on. It was easier to put on than the Cooler Master HSF I originally got with my Duron. The Vantec doesn't require a flat-head screwdriver, which makes it simple to put on or take off. I didn't notice any real serious pressure when attaching it (no more than the CM).

My locked 600 MHz Duron will post as high as 950 MHz, but only runs in Win98 up to 850 MHz. I'm currently running it at 750 MHz and have complete system stability. Temps are right around 42 idle and 45C full load. It's a little flaky at 800 MHz, but I think that's because I don't want to increase the voltage past 1.675v. For my chip, it requires at least 1.75v (too much) to hit 850 MHz (temps at that range reach 50C or more). It's an OEM chip, which I bought at mwave.com

I'd NEVER buy from a place that guaranteed a chip to run reliably over spec. They don't take into consideration that a lot of people prefer to run their system with the case on, which will increase the heat, thus, less chances of overclocking reliably. Also, RAM plays an important factor. If you have crap RAM (which I do), don't expect miracles. System configuration also plays a key role here. For me, this whole Duron system upgrade was an experiment, and I must say that even getting my chip to run reliably at 150 MHz OVER the spec frequency was worth the $70 I paid for it. Let's just say that you learned a lesson.

I dont have any issue with the quality of OCZ products, and I think that buying pretested chips is a great way to do things. the problem with the overclockerz store is that they hire idiots, and take forever to ship things. I ordered a tbird 700@900 slotA for 210.99. they charge my CC 4 days later, and ship it a week after that. a week later, still without my proc, the price drops to 179.99. Thank god I didnt have too much hassle getting the 20$ price difference refunded, only 4 or 5 emails and a week later my cc shows a credit. So anyways, a week after this (3.5 weeks from order), i get a mail notification and im absolutley jumping with joy. I go to pick it up and its a small US post cardboard letter envolope...I was like WTF!?!?!?!. I thought they shipped me a GFD or something, but it turns out to be a socket A tbird 750...even though it says slotA tbird 700@900 on the invoice lol. So seeing as how it took almost a month for them to ship it in the first place I was sure as hell not sending it back, so i bought a KT7 and fired this puppy up. It does 1gig without a sweat at 1.8v, nice low temps 26c idle, 40c under load with my globalwin celeron HSF. I now run it at 1010 :) and temps are negligeably higher, i know this thing will do 1100 with a good HSF. So although they totally b0rked my order, i got a great chip, ie more than i payed for.

My advice would still be not to deal with them, but if you do, hopefully you wont be dissapointed in their products.

What business name are they under? Found nothing for OCZ.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it...what an atrocity. Hopefully, I'm getting ready to open up a store of my own, but I'd never dream of treating customers like that! If I could not keep up, I would simply stop taking orders I couldn't fill. There is a lag with such a business and I think on a specialty product like that, I could see where 3-4 days for order processing would be reasonable, but 3-4 weeks??? Damn. :Q

Jeez, could it really be that bad? That's hard to imagine. I think those are the worst comments I've ever seen for ANY company. Almost like they goal set to be the worst. I wonder if they tried to start the business without any capital, figuring they'd float their way into being in business? If so, that is pure ignorance. I have spent a small fortune having professionals run pre startup forcasts and financials. Starting such a business on the float, simply can't be done....too many potential liabilities, with one of the largest, not being able to afford growth. Most people also figure their cost of sales incorrectly. People who don't understand why markup is necessary haven't seen a full blown financial sheet! What you mark it up and what goes to the bottom line are largely different numbers.

Just figured I'd thrown in my $.02 here...

I ordered a Duron 1Ghz from them a few weeks back. I got it less than a week after I ordered it, the invoice was correct, and it's been running stable in my machine for the week since I put it together. I agree that "guaranteeing" overclocking is pretty much impossible but I got what I paid for. I was a bit dismayed to see they had only penciled in the bridges but hey, it works.

If I was to get another Duron or T-bird I'd probably just buy from a pricewatch vendor and push it as far as I can...I just really wanted a guaranteed 1Ghz. ;)
