The original UT and Deus Ex are best enjoyed on Windows 98SE with a Voodoo5 5500 in GLIDE mode with an Aureal Vortex sound card running A3D.
I remember running it in Windows 2K Pro, so it should be fine in XP![]()
I have a 98 and V5500 but nobody has an Aureal card. If you use XP the game looks great with a modern GPU and the enhanced OpenGL renderer and S3TC textures from the 2nd disc.
I was gonna DL it from Steam or D2D, I'll let you know how it is. I'll probably just play single player anyway and, well, for about $14.oo I think its worth it if the graphics are pretty good![]()

Don't do it... Just like going back and watching Voltron isn't worth it. You ruin the memory of how great it was by seeing just how absolutely stupid it is today.
That goes for anything. I have so many examples. Giants:Citizen Kabuto. I remember that game having gorgious graphics. I loaded the game up a few years ago and was dissapointed...
Yep, it looks pretty good with the high resolution textures and updated OpenGL renderers. It runs perfectly on XP and Windows 7 (64 bit).
Whoa, what?
Off to Google!
The textures are on the second UT game disc.Whoa, what?
