The Onion does it again: Electoral College

for those of you unfamiliar with The Onion, it's a satirical online newspaper that is perhaps more honest than anything the big 3 and CNN ever spew out. in their latest "What do you think?" column, someone had this to say about the election:

"The electoral-college system was designed to protect our nation from the ignorance of its people. And, based on the 2000 vote, it's still dearly needed."

now isn't that the truth?
