Kazaa lite is a spyware free Kazaa client that's gained a big reputation on the web, as previously noted in this previously placed 344 reply monster thread.

The original poster hasn't updated it, and I doubt many people want to crawl through the replies in a search to download the client. It is, as of this writing, not available through the software author's site.

Yes, I myself noticed it was not available on the typical site. Thanks for the effort saving.

This is off topic but relevant to the kazaa site :) I was wondering if there is any software to edit the mp3 files that I have downloaded ???? I would like to make a cd like a dj's music would sound in a club with out tracks and such :) It seems in my version of adaptec this it is not a option and my cdrw will not work with nero software thanks :) Guys

You could just use WinAmp or equivalent to output files to wav files, which you should be able to burn. You can do this by clicking Options->Preferences->Output->Nullsoft Disk Writer. Configure it to place the files where you want them. Make sure you don't have repeat on before you hit the Play button. :) You must have an old version of the Adaptec s/w.

Thanks for the heads up? Is this better than WinMX???? I've been using that for awhile now...

It is better than WinMX and other Gnutella clients IMHO because you don't have to log onto several servers. That has always been hit and miss for me. It logs onto a central network - ala Napster - and you are connected to all of the resources available in one fell swoop.

I have had great luck with Kazaa Lite and highly recommend it. With my DSL I can completely download an album, one song at a time, in about 20 minutes.

The only problem that I have had lately is with music files that turn out to be the chorus of a song looped so that it is the correct duration. It seems like the record companies have finally gotten smart about a way to foil our attempts to circumvent their profits:disgust:.
