I guess I've been meaning to tackle this for a while. I'm freakish when it comes to my pots, pans and appliances. Often a high end manufacturer will sell a piece of their collection for cheap, hoping they'll snare you into buying the set bit by bit. Also with the economy the way it is deals have been improving steadily. My collection is complete for the most part, but you can benefit from my tireless shopaholism.

Calphalon Corp. Announce Recall of Stainless Steel Kettles

Calphalon has a stellar 10 year warranty, with the end purchaser simply having to send the pot/pan back to them for a new replacement. I've used it a few times and they've always been fast to replace my sometimes abused cookware.

Every Calphalon Commercial and Professional cookware item is covered by our Lifetime Warranty. Pots & Pans from Calphalon cookware is covered by a 10 year warranty. Calphalon will repair or replace any item found defective in material or workmanship when put to normal household use and cared for according to instructions. Minor imperfections, surface markings as a result of shipping, and slight color variations are normal. This excludes damage from misuse or abuse, such as improper cleaning, overheating, dishwasher use, use of caustic or other unapproved cleaners, neglect, accident, alteration, fire, theft, or use in commercial establishments.

The Stainless, LTD, Master Chef, and Cop-R-Chef lines all have an aluminum core. The Copper Core line is the only All-Clad style with a copper core. 18/10 stainless steel is used for every All-Clad handle, superior to the lower lines of Calphalon, imho..

All-Clad's warranty seems to be a little less forgiving, and I have no experience with getting something repaired or replaced:
