I get the message a couple of times a day now. And I've noticed that the Kinect appears to power off and on right before the message. Annoying!

Yes that is exactly the same issue I have seen.

I disagree. I think they're more likely to pick games where giving them away can lead to DLC sales. Ryse is probably the top example. They could also consider giving away FM5 once FH2 takes over the racing sales, and they could give away Ghosts shortly after the Advanced Warfare launch. They also have a year's worth of old sports game to hand out, and several more indie titles.

As a few of us said, they may give Tomb raider out through there just before Rise comes out simply because SE will want it to be relevant in people's minds. Someone may play it, find it good, then see there's a new one coming as well.

I'm a PS4/PC kinda guy and I'm kinda late, but boy did you guys have yourselves a GamesCom.

Applaud!
I thought it was all good. MGS on PC, new silent hill game coming, bloodborne looks awesome etc.

I am actually looking forward to the Tokyo Game Show more only because I want to see if there are any RPGs to get excited about. So far, that has been quiet.

I have a game downloading , if I turn off my One will it continue to download and install?

Even on standby, I don't believe it will. You can set the Xbox to download and then turn off, I believe. Just not download while on standby. I could be wrong though.

Also, does anyone have problems losing connection during dashboard updates? I got an update the other day (not sure if official patch or beta) and I had to reset my wireless connection in the Xbox 3 times before it finished the 1.5gb download.

I can try some discs (well, one disc that I have) when I get home. I haven't had any problems besides disconnecting from WIFI while updating. But, all my games are digital except Forza.

Almost a year late, but I'm really digging Dead Rising 3 so far. Some awkward controls that I had to get used to, but having a blast steamrolling hundreds of zombies at a time. I'm starting to realize that with the limited times I can play, I will take action over story at this point. Started both this and TLOU on PS4 at the same time and this game has gotten 90% of my time.

Guess I have the worst luck ever. I bought my Xbox One on Monday, the same day they rolled out a faulty OS update that bricked the Blu-Ray drives. Had to exchange the console four times before anyone figured out what the issue was. Finally have the fifth console up and running normally. I guess any Xbox that updated within that 24-36 hour period was bricked, but all others that didn't now get a "fixed" updated.

Ouch! I would be soo pissed if I had to return my console because an update bricked it... and several times... Especially since I usually order things online...

My One has given me more trouble than my launch 360, I have had so many problems. Mo the hdmi input has problems. Anything that is hooked to it ill have screen flickering and blacking out. I was using my Fire TV on the input and it was constantly having sound/video issues, today I hooked it to an hdmi input on my tv and not one problem. Same story with my Chromecast and the hdmi in on the One.

Finally broke down and bought the Xbox One day one edition on cowboom for 300.

Are there any accessories that are must have for this thing? I was thinking of the charge and play kit but I have rechargeable batteries already that I will be using.

Games wise I was thinking KI and then whatever is for free on games for gold. Can't wait for Halo and Tomb Raider. Even KH3 could be legit. Have not played the series since KH2.

Titanfall is the most fun I have had from a multiplayer game in a long time. If you like racing games Forza is a must and I have been playing the crap out of Powerstar Golf

So wait...if you updated at all you are screwed or is there a new update that overwrites the old one and fixes it? This isn't clear to me at all.

Also what disks did not work? Was it all disks or only game disks? This again is not clear.

My console is set for quick power up and will download and update automatically. So now I guess I have to buy a game just to see if it reads disks.

killer instinct is by far my most played game on x1. if you like fighters and ki in general, it's a must. also the netcode in that game is incredible and the best in any fighter ever. literally feels like you are playing with the person sitting next to you even if they are 3k miles away.

You guys with issues are like the most unlucky people on Earth. But, I guess it has nothing to do with this being the internet. I mean, I know all of you had 25 RRoDs in the first year!

MS made an "announcement" about possible 'try before you buy' on every game or something similar happening. You get a day pass on the game, and can buy it after.
