Halo time!

Halo 5: Guardians open beta will run December 29 through January 18. 7 maps, 3 game modes, and 11 weapons. "some" items you unlock in the beta will carry forward to the full game.

The Master Chief Collection will include Halo: Nightfall, a live-action show from Ridley Scott.

Halo 2 is 1080p 60FPS

Over 100 multiplayer maps!

They announced the Halo Channel, available via the web or Xbox One app. It's an "interactive network" full of all things Halo. Looks very ambitious.

this halo walkthrough is retarded. taking way too long. and i thought they said it was halo 2 gameplay untouched? i don't recall being able to make water fall down in the "gazebo" areas of sanctuary in the original version.

oh is the xbox conference over? i don't have sound and assumed this was still part of it, and have been watching it on/off.
 
In his closing remarks, Phil Spencer stated that preorder and pre-loading for Xbox One digital downloads will begin this year with Forza Horizon 2 and FIFA 15.

Phil Spencer has been an exponential upgrade! It's obvious their focus is now on games games games. And they are listening to user feedback, making significant improvements.

yeah i'm like 99% sure iron galaxy is revealing something today for KI, and the rumor is that it will be the reveal of Maya's actual gameplay. i just am not sure when.

At least Microsoft knows its strength in the console battle: Cash reserves. Throwing money at things like Tomb Raider could help sales.

I've yet to watch anything, but I'm lightly disappointed because they didn't announce a track for Forza 5, just because they did it at E3. Also, I really hope The Crew gets shown off soon, because I have an impending decision between the two arcade racers.

Oh, and what's everyone wanting from that wall of games? I see 5 I want:

The rest of the stuff is pretty nice. I am still not sure what to think about quantum break. I hated Alan wake when I finally played it but I like max Payne. So I dunno where this falls.

Is there any reason that PS4 is outselling Xbox 2 to 1? All the good games are on Xbox. KI, Halo and Tomb Raider are huge exclusives for me.

Is it just the price factor? Was thinking of buying an Xbox for 250 off craigslist before the holiday rush hits. I am mostly a PC gamer with some Wii U mixed in but Tomb Raider exclusive hit hard this morning.
 
It was cheaper and more powerful and MS goofed severely with the original announcement and policies. Bad word spreads like wildfire now with all this social media. They deserve to be struggling and I am glad because it will make them work much harder. Aggressive MS is the best MS

Cause of Sony IPs probably and the Japanese studios. It doesn't hurt that it had a good start and took off like crazy. A big user base attracts developers and gives a bigger online community. I would not be surprised though if it gets another huge jump when the first round of japanese developed games start showing up. Bloodborn, jrpgs etc.

The Xbox One is doing very poorly outside of the US (which was to be expected). MS is doing what they can though (Fifa bundle in the EU will grab some sales) now.

Fifa 14 has sold almost 3:1 more on the PS4 in Europe. It is huge there. It is the 3rd best selling game on the PS4 and the best selling game in Europe.

The market prefers PS4 for a lot of reasons, but if the XB1 has the games you want, then buy one no questions asked. Regardless of sales, it's a great console. For me, it has no exclusives that I give a crap about, but that is just me. We're all different, buy what you like and have all the fun you can, that's what it's all about.

I actively hate Microsoft for a lot of reasons, and am actually pretty happy seeing them get murdered in sales (in Europe recently things have gone to over 7 to 1 in weekly sales (most of their EU sales were frontloaded, even more than in the US!).

All that said, I'd be honestly tempted if they made a good MechAssault game. I really liked the OG Xbox and it's great catalog of unique games.
 
sony will be just fine without tomb raider. they have this little known franchise called uncharted that won't be coming to xbox1.

although, i personally think that i enjoyed tomb raider more than the most recent iteration of uncharted. either way, i'll be buying tomb raider and uncharted day 1, unless redbox has x1/ps4 games by then (redbox around me that is, i know they have it in some test markets now).
