I never played DOTA, how is that different?

The creeps (AI bots) in Dota are similar to a PVE mob. You have 2 teams of 5, each trying to take over the base of the other team. The creeps just go down each lane and attack each other. They are used to obtain XP and gold on the heroes (the players). There are also towers that shoot at anything in range.

Look up some Dota videos on youtube.

You should muster up some common sense before you talk. If you're going to specifically name 2 products, there can be a debate, but just because something is "higher quality" (that can be a .01% improvement or a 100%+ improvement) doesn't mean it is worth the price difference.

I suppose you buy those $1000 cables too because they're higher quality!

I always use monoprice hdmi cables because its digital connection. You either get 100% of the signal or you get nothing, sparkles, or static. That is not even close to the same thing if that's what you meant. You cannot measure differences when there is none. You can measure frequency response, sensitivity, and thd on headphones. This makes one pair able to recreate notes others may not and with more clarity. Yes it is subjective to a point but frequency response of the drivers is a very real measurement that can be done. Whatever dont buy them, keep using $50 headphones and I'll keep using my sennheisers. The point is that for someone with quite a bit of money invested into a high quality headset that they aren't ready to replace, building or buying an adapter is going to be worth it in the end for them.

But see, you don't get the same satisfaction of killing a bot as you do a real person. Killing bots just isn't as fun. I don't care that they're not regular dumb computer controlled characters, they are still bots and still meant to not be a big threat.

Agreed, but the point is that 6v6 humans will still have more action than it sounds like it might. I think the backlash is borne from the worry that only 12 humans playing in the expected huge battlefields will be boring because there will hardly be any interaction.

I don't use any headphones on Xbox, but the point is I don't value headphones to the point of $300+ and thus my comment "Gee, that seems worth it" is valid whether you think it applies or not. You can't argue it as much as you are really trying to.

Well that isn't what you said before. You only had the "gee..." part which didn't seem to have the same tone. If I read wrong, my bad.

I only have them because I chat with a RL friend on steam and ps3/ps4. I bought adapters to use them with Xbox live but dont really use them much there cause I dont know a lot of people on Xbox. I wanted quality if I was gonna buy them(I wasn't happy with some other options I heard), they are great for music too since they are based on the HD598 headphones from sennheiser.

I'd say the same thing about a $300 headset.

Wat? Also you ninja edited while I was gathering evidence. Better choice of wording I see.

Well I'm installing forza 5 so I'll see how this goes. I haven't liked a race car game since ps2 with Tokyo extreme racer.
So far I've been loving my xbone. Between ghosts, DR3 and NBA 2k14 I've been a happy camper. Hopefully I can get into forza 5 the game looks really good. The only game I'm waiting on now to release is plants vs zombies

Speaking of that I just spent some of my steam wallet on Rayman Legends and Thief (was 10% off).

Oh I didn't realize thief was out on pc already. Going to go check out some videos I'm not sure I will like it too much but it always looked interesting. Reminds me of dishonored and I didn't play that too much either.

It's not, but I pre-ordered it at a discount. Rayman Legends is pretty solid. I really like the music levels, the sounds fit right with the action.

Unrelated to this but has anyone been able to find out how to see the video quality Netflix is giving you from the XB1? On the PS4 you can click the right analog stick to see what resolution you are getting along with the current time on the video. On the XB1 it pops up a bar at the bottom that tells you how long the movie is etc and has the play/pause etc buttons along with a sound and subtitle option. I am just wondering if you can somehow see if you are getting 1080p or not? On my TV I'm locked to their standard 1080p signal and my TV doesn't let you change picture options when watching netflix (stupid I know), the PS4 can show me the current video quality and I can reliably receive their "SuperHD" 1080p streams but on the XB1 I can't get any info. Was it this way on the 360 as well?

Haven't thought about but now you have me curious. I can check it with my receiver and will be doing so out of blatant curiosity after this football game is over.

What's the next game you guys are going to pick up? I'm looking forward to Tomb Raider.

Probably Titanfall. My gaming has gotten extremely limited in recent years to FPS and sim racing. With the occasional exception of big titles like GTA5. For instance Forza was the whole reason I bought the Xbone.

Thanks. On the 360 I found out through Google that there was a code you could input at the main Netflix menu UI that gave you access to more options like AV stats etc. This code doesn't work on the XB1. On the Dpad press up,up,down, down, left, right, left, right,up,up,up,up

I just want to see what quality I'm pulling down because Netflix doesn't specifically mention what devices can do SuperHD and says that some devices will get SuperHD when it says HD in the video info. My Blu-Ray player has a slower interface as compared to my PS4 or XB1 so I don't use that although it does say SuperHD next to the movie info as does the PS4, indicating I can get that quality if my connection can keep up. However as I said, Netflix says some devices that could support 1080p HD can get SuperHD. I wish it was like on their Windows 8 app where you can just see what bitrate is playing & what is buffering.

So with all the talk over Titanfall and how many players there are, they said there is going to be a ton of AI on the battlefield, almost 50 combatants in total including real people and AI in the map. If the battlefield can support that many combatants on the map at one time, why just fill it up with canon fodder? This is the one game that makes me want an Xbone. I guess I'm just going to wait until reviews to make my final decision of this game. Not long to wait.

I thought that too. The maps are large enough in scale for 48 person combat but will mostly have AI. I have no idea why and quite honestly couldn't think of a reason.

If I had to think of a reason and this is a very dumb reason and probably 100% wrong, they want to give people who are not good at shooters a chance to get kills against the AI so they aren't just dominated the whole time. On a technical level I can't think of why it wouldn't work with the option for more players.

I was looking forward to titan fall on pc but after the 6v6 I'll just wait until reviews come out and get some opinions of those who have the game. It just kind of gives the gameplay a stale feeling. I think killzone shadow fall also used bots in mp in the beginning and that's why I didn't really enjoy multiplayer in that game either.

Yea but I'm definitely going to give them the benefit of the doubt though on the player count, I'm still going to wait for reviews.

If the bots don't have their own Titans it makes sense IMO. I imagine the combat with 50+ Titans compared to 12 titans and 50+ people is much different.
