i wish forza did something for me, but it just doesn't.

looks pretty great graphically though.

I'm starting to get that way too. I'll still buy it for sure, like a crazed Madden or CoD player, cuz its tradition. But I'm honestly almost more excited to see/play the Need for Speed game. Those crazy arcade racers with fast paced music and bright flashing things are more my speed nowadays.

i really REALLY hope somehow a new burnout is made for next gen. burnout paradise was one of my favorite games of the current gen, as was burnout revenge. nfs is getting tired now too though, they are so rehashed. i was a fan of forza horizon though, but i never did finish it.

I loved the burnout games. Lots of fun challenges to complete.

yeah it is the first FPS in years that has me intrigued because it is actually different.

well i shouldn't say the first, im going through far cry 3 right now and it's incredible. if they have a far cry 4 on next gen i'm getting it day 1.

I didn't get I to far cry 3 much...granted I play a ton of fps games and found it lacking compared to some others I have played. Both in story and gameplay. It wasn't a bad game to be honest, it just got repetitive to me.

im a sucker for tropical environments so that was the draw to me initially. i also like the freedom and how you can do what you want to do. i like the story as well. it's not just the same old soldier type game. you are a dude on vacation that becomes all powerful and stuff after his buddies get kidnapped.

I loved the burnout games. Lots of fun challenges to complete.

Burnout Paradise is the only "old" game I still play on ocassion.

My first file that I got to Class A license was lost so had to start over. I'm back to Class A but not sure I want to keep going... maybe I will over time.

I wish they'd bring another game like Burnout 3. The crash maps in that game were awesome.

If you get the value out of it, why not?

If you even play for 100hrs, that's $5.60/hr. About the cost of going to the movies... 50 times lol.

Forza's been a pretty fun game series. If you like it, why wouldn't you buy it? I don't know that I like Forza quite enough to justify buying a console ONLY for that game, but I'd assume you'll play other games on it as well. And, whatever, it's your money, do what you want with it.

I don't think so. Depending on how much you play Forza, it isn't that bad. I know people who buy $300+ racing wheels just for Forza. I've purchased multiple $150+ fightsticks for fighting games.

This next gen Forza looks really good. I am looking forward to it.

Need for Speed Most Wanted, the one that recently came out is made by the same people. It was pretty fun.

yeah, but need for speed most wanted was also a 360 launch title. no clue why they remade a 360 launch title ... on the 360. that alone turned me off of it. but there was a previous nfs that was made by the ex-burnout guys that was also fun. i forget which one it was name wise, since they now churn out nfs games like it's madden.

they are different games yes, but they are the same concept where it's kind of open world and you run from the cops, and don't have fixed routes, etc.

I used to love racing games when I was younger but as it is now, I drive way too much everyday so I am not all that interested in coming home and doing more.

that is probably part of the reason i dont like sim games anymore, they are too "real" and i'd rather the racing games where i can go 200mph and it feels fast as shit!

I like the racing sim games because I can upgrade the components. Forza allows engine swaps, superchargers, etc.

This is pretty much how I feel. I prefer to get down with upgrades and tunings to see what is the best. Nowhere am I going to be able to change gear timings on a Ferrari and then abuse it on a track in real life.

This is pretty much how I feel. I prefer to get down with upgrades and tunings to see what is the best. Nowhere am I going to be able to change gear timings on a Ferrari and then abuse it on a track in real life.

one of my big gripes about sim racers is they never have a good sense of speed. i like to play 3rd person view, and it just never seems like you're going that fast in sims. and when you finally get up to the top speed, you hit a hairpin turn, have to slow to like 20mph to go around it, then speed back up. and usually by the time you are going like 90-100 it still doesn't feel fast, but in reality that is fast as shit! you're just not at top speed with fast cars a lot in the sim racers. plus a lot of sims feel like just grinding and grinding. just not what i enjoy in a racer.

i'm not into tuning cars and stuff so i couldn't care less about that stuff. i prefer racers where you never let your finger off the gas trigger and can hit 90 degree turns by pulling the handbrake to get around it. it's just more fun to me. i wanna be at top speed 90% of the time, not 10% of the time.

Unlike you, unrealistic racing games do nothing for me. Except Burnout. Those games had some sort of magic to them.

i'd love to do that in real life too hah, but doing it in a game doesn't do much for me. thing is, in real life i'd probably just do it a couple times and be done. that is how i am with forza too, give me a few races, and i'm done!

I saw the 'making of' of the Xbox One invitation commercial in theaters the other day, and if the Kinect functions as Zachary Quinto seems to believe it does, it should actually be interesting for menus.
