How did 360 outsell PS3? While I'd argue they're pretty much equal, I think in raw numbers PS3 sold more. And given that the 360 was out a year earlier, if they are equal, 360 is really behind.

I'm pretty certain that the 360 outsold the PS3 at least in North America. A big factor there is that the 360 was released a year earlier, and also because COD is so associated with the 360 even though it's not an exclusive. I think towards the end of the cycle though the figures were close with the 360 being slightly ahead.

I'm sure both consoles will have gigabit ethernet ports. They would have to go our of their way to find someone to manufacture a 10/100 NIC for them.

I don't see why we would limit it to north america, but this article is less than 1 month ago:

One small important snippet:

In 2010, the PlayStation 3 managed to catch up by 600,000 units and in 2011 by nearly 900,000 units. In 2012, the PlayStation 3 sold 12.73 million units, while the Xbox 360 managed to sell 11.10 million units. In just the first five months of 2013 the PlayStation 3 has outsold the Xbox 360 by one million units.

Notice how the gap is getting larger each year, and we're already at 1 million this year. So yeah, the 360 is not outselling the PS3 even with a year's head start.

When you know you have one you can put not often used commands on voice. Like the MW series, make the airstrikes and crap like that a voice command rather than digging through menus. Also stuff like squad control would be useful. "squad, on me" would be more fun than digging in the menu for it, and a lot more natural. I think the best idea I came up with the kinect in other games is to use it like a track IR headset. -Lean, view direction, stance control.

View direction? That doesn't make any sense. If you turn your head you're no longer looking at the center of the screen.

Maybe worldwide where in Asia the PS3 has a large following and the 360 not so much but in the US the 360 has sold more units than the PS3 for the last 29 months in a row...

So now we are resorting to measuring our consoles dick size in this thread? I really wish their was a thread or even a forum for people that like both consoles to go to so we don't have to see this kind of stupidity.

TrackIR scales the amount of head movement it takes to turn your head, So looking to the side where you can still see the screen out of the corner of your eye might be 110 degree rotation. People use this for flight sims and games like ARMA and it works well. Just look up videos on youtube if you really don't get it.

Be careful with that. Its 2013, but both consoles are still using obsolete primative 20th century optical and magnetic data storage devices, so being 2013 doesn't mean much.

Still using 20th centure, archaic disc based authentication as well.

Apparently, you can still buy routers without gigabit ethernet ports, why not consoles?

Yup. Bring back mask ROMs. 32-64 GB SD card size solid state games ftw.

Mask ROM/chip density and access speed has FAR surpassed optical media, when before 650 MB on a CD used to be big. Its time to go back.

That is because people playing ARMA have nothing else to do but look around while they wait 3 hours just to see someone walking by them. >_<

That game should be called "lay down in the grass with a gun" simulation.

Track ir is amazing in dcs a10c and pretty much any flight sim. I'll never fly without it any more. You have to wear a hat or headset but it's much more realistic.

Each console should have their own sub sub forum, and then leave a general video games forum. Any dicks in the sub sub forum are banned.
I agree with this. I'm all for having concerns about a console, but continually coming into a forum for a console that you have no interest in is just trolling.

Then you could have the PC forum in there too again.
That poor Wii U forum though, would be just dead. What a piece of shit. :sneaky:

yup. after all the hate that the xbox1 got, just go look at the total posts on the official xbox1 thread vs the official ps4 thread. it's retarded how many more posts are in this one than that one, yet only about 4 people on this forum have any interest in it.
