I don't know, how about continuing reading the post that goes on to explain it?

You're being narrow minded on this. Yes, currently one lineup might "outweigh" (all opinionated, in this case though I agree MS has a better current lineup) the other, but keep in mind there was a period of time where none of these franchises existed. Picture the time before Dead Rising, Killer Instinct, Uncharted, etc. It takes creativity to generate something that is a classic hit, not an existing product. That existing product has already made its mark on gamers.
If all we had were new Dead Rising games, no one would buy. So, if Sony shifts the market enough, that creativity will naturally focus on the PS4 platform, and we will start to see more titles there which take off.
In other words, there is no way to predict who will ultimately have the better exclusives. PS2 was arguably leaps and bounds better than Xbox, and then you have the 360 which was arguably better than PS3 on exclusives. Only time will tell.
While, it might seem like a feature you don't like, having it update my players while I am doing something else is amazing. Especially, because I can only watch one game at a time and I try to not pick players from the Cowboys. I used to have DirecTV with NFL Sunday Ticket and it had a player tracking system, that had a small popup show anytime they did something. That was awesome. The Xbox One will offer similar functionality, but with the ability to change my lineup during the week. Yes, I could sit and watch with a tablet, but I don't want to.The fantasy football thing is laughable though. That already exists, it's called "watching TV while holding a smartphone."

See, I am a little worried here. Sure, MS showed a bunch of exclusives right now, but are they going to do what they did this generation and eventually kill them all off and stick with 2/3 games? While I didn't love every exclusive on the PS3, they had a wide variety and almost all of them were quality games.PS4 won't have Dead Rising, Killer Instinct, Titanfall, Halo, Forza. And you don't know if any of those are timed exclusives. You are just guessing. Dead Rising was only released on the Xbox 360; nothing else. What does Sony have? A bunch of indie games I can get on Steam for $5 each? No thanks. GT6 isn't even going to be on the PS4. Drive Club? GT5 looks better than that game. MS also has a better controller, a better online service (based on current offerings), uses a better streaming service, and has fantasy football stats. That might not be a feature you will use, but I will. And a lot of other people will as well. NFL.com and ESPN fantasy integration is a big deal. UFC is another huge deal.
Man... why would anyone buy this trash over a PS4? Absolutely boggles the mind lol. I mean last gen there were plus's and negatives for both sides but this gen its pretty much all in favor of PS4.
MS should throw in a few bottles of this with the xbox one:

Dem buyers gonna need it!![]()
but that is the thing, you don't explain it. you just go on to say that no one can predict the future. so basically you say he's narrow minded then say grass is green and the sky is blue.
It isn't that the discs are bricked. They still server their purpose, which is to install the game to the Xbox One. You just have to then purchase a license to play it. They are trying to go the entire PC route, but people are screaming about it. Not that it really matters. People scream about everything. When Apple released the iPhone 4S the internet and mainstream media was ablaze with "outrage" over a late and incremental release. Yet it sold millions anyway...
The true test for MS comes after the holiday season. I have a feeling Sony will take an early lead, but MS will catch up, if not overtake them, in the long run. Sony just doesn't have any real system sellers as of right now. MS does.
I did point it out, but apparently I either didn't explain it well or you couldn't extract the point.
If all you end up with is more Dead Rising / Halo / etc games over the next 7-10 years (whatever the lifespan is), is that enough content to pick that system? While you may like the current lineup, it's still a bunch of games we've played from previous generations. They will get old over time *if* the other side is busting out new exclusives, and all you get are rehash.
It's not like we got a feed of all future exclusives (or even more than one?), we received mainly reused exclusives from previous gen.
EDIT:
This is only relevant since it was compared against PS4.

And perhaps narrow minded was a bad description, but it still somewhat applies. Short sighted is an overall better term, but only focusing on the now has narrow minded attributes.
So.... About someone with $5000 (100 games?) decides to get out of gaming.
Can the XBox One unit be sold to someone with those games working or easily and cheaply imported or activated such that there is a reason to buy it from the original owner for say $3000? Or does MS expect that consumer to just walk away from a $5000 investment empty handed and POOF as soon as the account is cancelled ?
What if I told you....So.... About someone with $5000 (100 games?) decides to get out of gaming.

So, I am short sighted because I want to buy an Xbox One to play the games that come out NOW, rather than buy a PS4 because some games (that we have no idea of) might come out later? Yeah, I am the one thinking badly...
what games come out on ps4 has no bearing on me personally as to whether i get an xbox1 or not.
and vice versa.
Agreed, see edit.
EDIT:
I think your problem is that you're jumping in on someone else's point, and not understanding the point they tried to make.
So.... About someone with $5000 (100 games?) decides to get out of gaming.
Well, here is how it works currently (and they have said it will work very similar): whatever Xbox One you buy the content on (DLC or games), it will be authorized for any account on that console AND the games will be authorized for just your account on any other console.
So, in theory, you can buy $5,000 worth of games and sell your console, buy a new one, and still have all those games available for redownload. However, this only works once.
if you bothered to read the thread there are plenty of reasons people have stated why they are interested in the console.
We don't understand the point you are trying to make. I assume you are implying I am being short sighted because I am wanting to buy an Xbox One based on what I know will released at launch or around launch. How exactly is that being short sighted? I know the games coming out, I know I want to play them. Sure, Sony might have titles that are also good, but that has nothing to do with my decision to buy the Xbox One.
Possibly, your point is that the exclusives are rehashes of older titles and I should be wary of this for some reason? Well, I like KI, Halo, Forza, and Dead Rising; therefore I don't mind sequels. Titanfall looks great from what I've seen and other new IP might be just as good.
I won't be buying another one, and I'm cancelling my account. For whatever reason I'm leaving gaming, but I know someone interested.
I my Xbone and more importantly $5000 in games worth anything? Can the account at least be sold or transferred?
No? Then fuck MS.
Listing reasons to buy an Xbox One is not the same as listing reasons to buy an Xbox One instead of a PS4. Perhaps you didn't mean to word it that way, but you did.
Just playing devils advocate. I'm always of the mindset it is your money, you buy what you want as long as you aren't getting it from the government handouts![]()
You can't do that with Steam either. At least not according to their terms of service. In theory, you still can, by giving someone your login information. But if they find out, they can ban the account, rescinding that account's ability to play any games.
