If I stood up and spewed ridiculous bullshit about you for an hour would you thank me for it?

and Biden was telling the truth? ROTFLMAO.

I don't know what school you go to but I have been taught always say thank to the debate opponent even I don't agree with him/her. Something about "classy".

I'm going to give it to Biden, despite his annoying interruptions and corrections. A lot of it is probably due to his experience.

Ryan was definitely forcing the sound-bites and one-line quips - over and over. I may be tired of the Obama camp whining about "inheriting a bad situation," but it took months to get tired of that. I'm tired of about a dozen of Ryan's quips after a hour and a half of them.

And Ryan definitely dodged and weaved. And not even skillfully.

*shrug*

Wow, what a waste. Both ducked questions which hurt them and instead with "Oh yeah? What about THAT."

What is disappointing is that there will be people who think one or the other was spot on and deserves to be elected.

I see two clowns who left their big shoes and makeup home.

Ryan impressed me for his stage presence, and debating prowess.

He would not let Biden deflect him from his mission of explaining the Romney/Ryan platform.

He has the confidence to know it is the right platform.

That was a much more even debate that the first one (where Romney was the clear winner).

I think Biden will get some negatives for his aggressive and interrupting style, but he scored more debating points on Ryan. Ryan was fine on tax and domestic issues, Biden did much better on foreign policy and soft issues like abortion. He dodged the part of being a Catholic and supporting abortion, but it is credible to do so in an era where you can point to Islamic extremists forcing their religious views on their citizens.

I think that the abortion question was a defining one as in it provided a clear choice to voters - vote for me and protect abortion rights or vote for me and I will oppose abortion rights. Coming right near the end of the debate and with Romney behind and needing to pick up more votes, I would say that public opinion and women voters would be much more in line with Biden's offer than Ryan's.

I lean towards a narrow Biden victory in that debate with that one telling passage right at the end.

Michael

(I am pro life but not pro pushing my faith and emotion based arguments onto the population at large. I have no issue with not spending federal dollars on abortion. I do have issue with eliminating it as a safe and legal option for women, regardless of how they became pregnant)

The fact checkers are kicking Ryan's ass right now.

Unless you count sperm cells racing towards the egg as "Human" life.

I thought this was a good debate no matter what side you are on but those in the middle that haven't been following the election, the issues, and the facts, are probably clueless as to what they saw. It had too many facts for your average voter in my opinion.

And the Moderator seemed very aggressive towards Ryan at times. Granted, he seemed to deserve it more, but it doesn't come across as very even-handed.

Sorry about this, I am watching 30 minutes behind. She just asked Ryan "What's your criteria for intervention, worldwide?"

WTF is that. Lay out his plan for ever single Country?

Single issue, "abortion" or "gay rights" democrats, will at some point realize there are greater issues, than whether Government should pay for abortions, or Government should treat Gay couples the same as married couples.

My favorite Biden line:

“Governor Romney, 10 days ago, was asked, you pay 14% [taxes] on $20 million. Someone making $50,000 paid more than that. Do you think that is fair? He said, yes, that is fair,” Biden said. “You think these guys are going to cut those loopholes?”

Best part:

Ryan bitched about stimulus spending and then Biden reminded him he asked for stimulus money

Actually I forgot about this gem:

“It has been done before,” he said.

“It has never been done before,” Biden shot back.

“Jack Kennedy — lower tax rates increased growth,” Ryan said.

“Oh, now you’re Jack Kennedy?” Biden said.
