Can congress mandate the number of drop boxes states must offer for federal elections?

It's up to the states completely now that we finally got rid of that unnecessary Voting Right Act. /s
Republicans managed to get the pre-clearance portion eliminated. Certain states with a racist past had to get approval from DOJ or EEOC (forget which) in advance of any changes to ensure change would not have a disproportionate effect on minority communities.

Fist thing GOP did after ruling was up their suppression game.

Has it already been mentioned that Wisconsin is allowing the packers stadium to be used as a polling place but is not allowing the bucks to do the same with their stadium?

Can anyone think of a reason why? What’s the difference between the two in terms of demographics?

Florida Man. Trump's rhetoric even has dems questioning and testing ballot voting.

“I heard so much about ballots being sent in and people just having found them in different places. I feel like I haven’t done anything wrong.”

So we can have another Democrat presidential candidate make up Russia collusion and then have Democrats base their entire election platforms on that? That type of election interference? Clinton seems to always be tied back to some election chicanery. Starting to look like Obama and Biden knew a lot more about "Russia-Trump" collusion than people wanted to admit.

Are you on the COVID-45 cocktail? Seems belligerent activities are a side effect.

In case you haven't heard Hillary is not running. Leave Trump in office at the current pace we will have 400,000 dead Americans 1 year into the pandemic. 1.6 million dead at the send of his second term while the virus "magically disappears"

Sounds like something people can get behind.

More Republican voter suppression
Republicans outed for their racist voter suppression policies. Individual voter fraud IS NOT the problem. Republicans disenfranchising the vote of minorities is a scourge. As soon as Dems take over they need to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act (renamed update of 65 Voting Rights Act)

Judge bitch slapped Ohio Republicans:
Polster found that limiting each county to one drop box location had a "disproportionate effect on people of color" living in more populous counties, imposing a "significant burden" on their right to vote.

The Hillary obsession is apparently incurable.

It's so funny the republican guy said "oh I don't want to limit boxes but unfortunately my hands are tied and so we have let the courts settle it out". The court said unlimit the boxes immediately and he is appealing the ruling (because obviously the GOP doesn't want most people to vote)

Why do they think one small ballot box can even hold 800000 ballots? It's so stupid. That thing can barely hold 1000 ballots it's so small. Ridiculous.

Go on record right now @brandonbull exactly what evidence would make you say Russia helped the President in 2016?
Go on record now.

Having lived there and been to both quite a lot, Green Bay is like a large town whereas Milwaukee is a substantial city but certainly not in the NYC/Chicago/LA megacity category.

Milwaukee also has a (currently unused) major league baseball stadium just outside of downtown with acres of parking available and right on the bus routes.

First Ohio and now Texas. Judge blocks limiting drop boxes

This governor's action really, really aggravated me because TX refused to change absentee rules because of the epidemic. Only the same people that could absentee vote before can do so this election, but because so many had decided to do so this time the governor decided to change the rules to restrict the right.

Good. Judges using common sense and upholding the law and precedents. Glad to see it blocked.

Here is a decision from this morning regarding tRumps Pennsylvania lawsuit.

“A federal judge in Pennsylvania on Saturday threw out a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump’s campaign, dismissing its challenges to the battleground state’s poll-watching law and its efforts to limit how mail-in ballots can be collected and which of them can be counted.

The ruling by U.S. District Judge J. Nicholas Ranjan — who was appointed by Trump — in Pittsburgh also poured cold water on Trump’s claims that election fraud will work against him.”
