I would actually be pretty interested in PS Now but not really Playstation TV, "TV" isn't required for "Now" is it? I think it just comes [will come?] with it?

Also I haven't paid much attention to Sony at E3 yet, has there been any news/progress on Now and it's pricing/requirements/release?

Ps tv will comes with ps now. The tv box is not required if you just want ps now all you need is a ps3 or ps4. I'm in both betas but can't say much about it.
 
Appreciate it, I've got a PS3 at least. I hope it's a strong service and does well, not only because I love the idea but if it catches on it might nudge Nintendo to offer a more expansive virtual console service as well.

Anyone know if I buy the PS3 version of FFXIV AR do I still get the free 30 days when activating it on an existing account or are the 30 days only for new accounts?

Basically, I already got a SE account with FFXIV:CE for PC registered. I've been itching to try the new patch content and it's $14.99 for one month. But then I saw the PSN greatest hit sale so for PS+ members I can get the PS3 version for $12.some_change, which would then add the Playstation (PS3/PS4) clients to my account but being a cheap-op only really worth it if I get those 30 days. Otherwise, I'd just buy a month sub.

Only reason I'd get the PS4 is: Madden, NHL, Drive Club, Gran Torismo (if their next installment is for PS4), and of course Planetside 2. I doubt I'll bother with PSN+ because with those games I don't play online with and Planetside 2 won't require PSN+.

Isn't planet side 2 an online game?
 
That's cool I didn't know that. Forgot that some publishers can require it or not always thought if you wanted to play online on ps4 you needed psn plus this time around.

*shrug* I don't understand why you think it can't. Corrine Yu confirmed herself that is was rendered on a single PS4, using the game's engine. Other devs have said that it was indeed part of an in-game level at 1080p running 60fps real time.

When more than one dev says it's possible...I think it's possible. People forget The Dark Sorcerer demonstration from last year. That looks awfully close to Uncharted 4 facial animations and detail. That was also running in real time on a PS4. The thing is though, with games like this often they have different LOD models depending on the distance from the camera. So when you see Drake up close it looks like the video we saw, distance might be different for gameplay smoothness. Remember too that Uncharted's environment isn't highly interactive by any means. There's a few things you can move as you pass by or manipulate for puzzles. Overall though it's mostly a static environment that allows for highly detailed scenes.


This isn't even taken at the same scene...can't compare that. Besides I think the skin tones and clothing looks more realistic in the final build here.

Yup I think by the time its out it should look like that. I definately am excited for the last uncharted. Haven't enjoyed a decent story based adventure game like that since the first one and also tomb raider.

I wish they would release the others on psn now so I could play them again.
