Quick question.. does the DS4 have some type of light or anything when its charging? I charging it with a cable connected to a power outlet but I don't see anything to signify it is charging.

Nope. That should be updated though. You have to press and hold the PS button while connect to the console to see charge level.

That and the lack of a configurable download manager are my biggest gripes right now. Is it really that hard to let the user prioritize download queues?

Is AC good? I haven't opened it yet. I played all the others on pc.

It's my favorite single player game right now. I also played the others on PC. I think it's much better than AC3 thus far, and the lack of a 5 hour intro helps.

Nice, Sand Eagle! I have NBA 2K14 but haven't played a basketball game since NBA jams on N64. I'd like to play it against some other players who don't know what they are doing.

I have only opened two games so far. KZ and AC

Trying to trade one of my unopened for Rivals.

I'll be picking up NBA, I'm a big fan of the series. I'll give ya my PSN once I get it and we can play some. I wouldn't really say I'm excellent at the game so I won't blow you out or anything.

yeah it's just a really fun platformer. i just got to chapter 6 after playing for like 3 hours or so straight. really fun. also, the sound in this game is really good. has some really nice bass too.

Awesome. I have my copy of Knack sitting here just waiting to be played. Console should arrive on Monday/Tuesday.

The music in Resogun reminds me a lot of Tron: Legacy, which I now feel like watching -- in 2D of course, because the PS4 doesn't handle 3D movies. 😛 I tried it out because of the awkward typo earlier that wasn't terribly clear as to the intent, and it definitely does not work.

Anyway, I tried out streaming Resogun, but since I couldn't even access my own stream on my phone, I just gave up doing that. It's kind of hard playing Resogun after coming from Super Stardust. In Resogun, you can only shoot left and right, but in Super Stardust, you can shoot in any direction you want. You also get a lot more bombs and power-ups in Super Stardust, but that's because it takes a ridiculous number of power-ups to max out your weapon, and you have 3 weapons. I've found that the whole keepers thing can be quite odd as they can be rather fast on-rails enemies that will leave the screen rather quickly, or normal enemies that fly at you. As you'd expect, the latter is a lot easier to take out.

The LED at the top of the controller turns orange when it's charging.

That would be nice to have. At this point, it seems like everything just downloads at the same time.

I was pretty iffy on Assassins Creed 4 at first thinking it would be just another Assassins Creed, but this is a legit pirate game. Very cool because I have never really seen a game like this before. They could have toned down some of the assassins creed stuff and set you as captain jack sparrow and called this pirates of the caribbean.

yup knack is just a solid fun platformer. can't really put it any more blunt than that. its fairly repetitive but it's just fun. i mean most platformers are repetitive when you think about it, but it also does have some different parts to it.

is there anyway to turn the damn light off on the controller? seems like a huge waste of battery if you don't have a camera. i couldn't find anything in the options that stuck out.

Totally agree. I'm somewhere in chapter 8 and have a hard time putting it down. I'm not why the reviews were so bad.

Tell me more, I've never played any of the AC games but now I own a PS4 with no games to play, xD!!!

I was on amazon at 1AM on Friday and noticed they had the first day edition in stock for some reason and all the amazon comments were blowing up about it, so I ordered it for Saturday shipping and got it today! I'm looking forward to the XBOX One more though for some reason.

Yeah I actually think I will sit on amazon at 12:01 AM this 22nd just to see if they are letting Xbox ones go.

Well, I can't say much about Assassin's Creed 4 specifically, but I have heard a lot of good things about AC4 as a pirate game. Unfortunately, I've also heard that it's not very good as an Assassin's Creed game. My favorite game in the series is Assassin's Creed 2 hands down. It wasn't hard to love that game considering the first game was little more than a glorified tech demo, but the second had much better writing and your character could actually swim! (Yes, the main character in the first game died if he landed in the water.)

Assassin's Creed is an interesting series where each numerical increase doesn't have as much in common with the story other than Assassins vs. Templars. However, with Assassin's Creed 2, they released two auxiliary games (Brotherhood and Revelations), which did actually follow up with the same characters and story. Although, they're still not as good as Assassin's Creed 2.

Each of the AC main characters are descendants of Desmond who is trying yo unravel the mystery of "those who came before".

Yeah, but they sacrificed the whole Desmond Miles thing for Assassin's Creed 4, which is why I didn't really mention it. From what I've read, in this game, you play as an Abstergo employee who's researching material to make a pirate game. 😵 Yeah... really odd compared to the previous games, which had a somewhat compelling background story.

I haven't played ac4 at all yet. Doing killzone first.

Honestly I never got into the "modern day" story of the AC series. It always seemed to take me out of the game I actually wanted to play, and wasn't strong enough.

I noticed poor Knack reviews, but I watched the Giantbomb quick look and thought it looked fun. It isn't open world and the graphics aren't BF4, but it seemed fine for what its trying to do. I'll pick it up when it goes on sale, hopefully during black friday.

most of us in this thread who have been playing through it really enjoy it. ive put like 4 hours probably a little more, and still like it a lot.

The reviewers have been really unfair to Knack and Killzone imo. I've spent a fair amount of time in each and they are both solid games and deserve higher scores than what their current average is.

The Desmond/Abstergo story in the first five AC games I always felt was a bit shoehorned in anyway. I really though they were building up to a present day game, but instead they
killed off Desmond.
The team at Ubi Montreal has said they won't set an AC game in any era with motorized vehicles. Honestly, I don't think such a game would work anyway, at least without being radically different from its predecessors. Watch Dogs to me is what a modern AC would be like.

has anyone had their controller spaz out? i played knack for like 3.5 hours earlier and it was fine, however it was plugged in the whole time. when i was playing kz a while ago, not wired, it like lost sync and was spazzing out like 5 or 6 different times. it wouldn't register motions for a second, or it would continue to do stuff after i let go of it. like i would keep turning after letting go. or it wouldn't turn.

I had that happen on the ps3. After some time it stopped.

Is BF4 running at 1080p? EDIT: Did some research and it's 900p upscaled to 1080p. XBOX one will be 720p upscaled. Shame...

Does anyone have a Vita and know how that's working? I'm thinking of picking one up.

Thanks,
ELmO
