I've received packages from UPS as late as 8 PM in the past. It's pretty rare, but sometimes, they do get behind for whatever reason (PS4 deliveries + normal demand seems like a good reason). If your package is listed as "Out for Delivery", you will get it today as the drivers are supposed to deliver all of their packages. That is unless something bad happens such as an accident, which will result in an exception on your tracking.

Apple > UPS said they had delivered a package to me and the they never tried to. I was in all day!

Almost 5pm and still no PS4 delivery from Amazon. DAMN YOU UPS!!! Assassin's Creed, Killzone, and BF4 are taunting me right now.

I didn't get mine till almost 4. Won't do the amazon thing next time. I'll preorder locally as I would have had it an additional 16 hours.

So do any of you take a moment by yourself with a new console box and enjoy the moment of opening it up or do you just do it like any other product and hurry through it? The unboxing of a new console for me was always a sacred moment where I pushed everyone away and closed the door. lol

Is it just me or does the control make your hand sweat a lot? I played about 20 minutes of resogun and my thumb was slipping off the thumbsticks already.

I am really surprised at how much fun Knack is. I'm playing that much more than Kill Zone.

hah that is what i said too. i played knack for like 90 minutes last night then kz for like 45. but i was also tired and it was late when i started kz, so that might ahve been it. but im looking forward to getting back at knack more than kz.

That smell. Mmmmmm.

I may want to try knack. Do they have a demo out? Killzone is kind of weird for me to get used to. Feels like there is a ton of enemies coming at you all the time. The UI is odd, the area that has your stats has too many items in it. Overall it's fun but tough.

I haven't smelled it yet.

But let me tell you because I think you can appreciate it: the first time I ever in my life really noticed and truly appreciated the smell of fresh electronics was opening up the original Gameboy. There's just nothing like it. The styrofoam, the plastic untaped with the freshly molded materials' off gassing. It's probably all carcinogenic, but it smells lovely.

Just got back from the Sony store where I picked up my pre-order w/ extended warranty (I have little kids, the accidental coverage is a big add for me) and could not believe they still had consoles (the bundles at least) for sale! So if your still looking for one, they are out there.

I bought KZ, COD, and Knack at the target B2G1 sale. I bought COD as a place holder with full intentions on returning it or exchanging for BF4. The reviews on Knack have been bad, but a few of you seem to like it. Should I keep it?? Between keeping knack, getting bf4 or not - I have never had so much indecision at a launch before. I think it's b/c i am really not pumped for any of these titles - just love the launch of the new console.

Brand new SNES carts. Even getting high off the fresh manuals was a ritual. Unfolding a map. The smell that filled the room the first hour when the fresh cart warmed up.

The smell of the systems = smell of Christmas.

PS4 won't be as good as a NES action set though with that 5 lb block of styrofoam.

New stuff has been packed in cardboard made with recycled paper, its nowhere near as intoxicating.

If you can't play bf4 on your pc keep it. Cod is decent, online is tougher now. Killzone is nice, I like it and the visuals are amazing. Two people here have knack and they like it. I didn't feel like paying 60 bucks for it though. It sounds fun. I still didn't open AC, anyone like it?

I finally got into psn and tried remote play. Pretty seamless.

I've only played AC with it so far. It works without issue on the same floor as the ps4. If I go beyond 20 feet and a couple walls, the connection continuously drops.

Epic fail for Sony and the PSN being offline until Monday rumored.

There is no excuse for that, they knew exactly how many systems were pre-ordered and can get a very good idea of what the load would be.

I am very confident Xbox Live will work a million times better on launch day and afterwards as usual.

Another note, Sony's UI looks antique, the X360 has a better UI.

I was trying to get back to work, so I didn't want to take too long. Of course, that didn't stop me from being a dummy and realizing that I didn't copy the patch onto a thumb drive ahead of time, and then realized that I was a double dummy and didn't put it in the right folder structure. You would think after owning the PSP, PS3 and Vita that I would understand how to manually update a Sony console by now (I've manually update the prior two). 😛

Depends on what generation of the PS3 you have. I think the Slim/Super Slim can share the same cable with PS4.

Yep. The Slim PS3 uses the 8-style power plug where the Fat PS3 uses the usual computer plug -- three pronged and looks like a house shape. I used the PS4's cable just so I can keep the original equipment together.

However, if I can help it, I do leave certain things untouched in the box. For example, I just used my own micro-USB cable instead of using the one that came with the console.

Considering I've logged on for the first time in the last 2 hours, this isn't correct.
