heh mine went from "being prepared for shipment" back to "not yet shipped". no clue what that means, i just want a tracking number so i can find out if they are going to leave it at the house or make someone sign, so that if they make someone sign i can have them hold it.

Depends on where you pre-ordered it from if the midnight launch will go smoothly.

Gamestop has gotten really good at doing midnight launches. Everyone's order has to have been paid in full before 9PM. After 9PM you go back with your receipt and they give you a group number. Show up at midnight and just wait until your group number is called, walk in with your receipt, pick up your PS4 and walk out the door, and since everyone has already paid it's extremely quick.

Those that show up that didn't pre-order have to wait until the end and see if they have any extras.
 
Received email from Amazon saying mine has shipped and will be here tomorrow. Also received an email from Best Buy telling me my order is ready to be picked up tomorrow 😀

Yeah I preordered and put it on my best buy card on june 11th. I never been to a best buy midnight release so I have no idea what they do. I did get an email to show up at 9pm with our order info and state id. Then it says at 12:01 they will begin handing out the preorders. If I'm not too tired I will go.

yeah i don't think i'd personally go wait 3 hours for something i've preordered lol.

i didn't pre-order. what is the likelihood of me finding one at midnight or tomorrow? i'm not so excited about this launch, but i feel i must have the PS4
 
This is so bad... You know you have bought too many video games in too short a time that you forget one of them and have to look at a pic you took to make sure you don't buy it again...

I saw that just now and it seems to be coincidence. I don't think the update is breaking the HDMI.

I am debating something. Should I pick mine up at GameStop tonight and install the update via my USB drive to see if the update prevents it from working? I mean I will only have one system so it is a small sample size but it may be useful info for some of you no?

You also are getting an Xbox 1 right? I'm not sure I believe the hdmi issue is hardware related. Because they mentioned they could not plug the hdmi cable in all the way properly. So I don't think the update is related to the hdmi.

I have my update on a usb. That's how i plan to install it.

Yes I am getting an xb1 next week as well.

I edited my post but when I said I will only have one console I meant that the sample size is very small so it would not be very telling but maybe some people would like to know how the update process goes.


Ps4 infamous second son release date coming this week and bundle announced.

Mr. Yoshida had responded to the broken ps4 situation and has said that Sony is investigating the reason but they are pretty confident this is pretty isolated and not a widespread issue.

I've been getting a head start, redeeming all my pre-order bonus extras, except PS+ that one has to be done on the console. Plus I have the update loaded up on a USB drive so I don't have to worry about network issues.

Friday is going to be a good day, now just to decide which game to play first; BF4, AC4, or Knack.

Yeah if it's an issue with the update then we all will be affected. Maybe it doesnt have a notification when running in the background. I'll update mine via usb. Hope nothing went wrong with the file I downloaded.

I'm not sure what to play either. My friends will be on cod ghosts online all day Friday. Bf 4 I'm waiting until black Friday to get it for pc. And AC, I'm not sure if I want to open it, I know what it will be like.
 
PS4 Battlefield 4 pack shipped from Amazon to arrive Friday. Ordered AC4 and KZ4 which arrived yesterday. I'm 90% settled on keeping it.
