So knack looks bad (probably will be free on PSN+ sometime) and killzone got a decent review along with NBA 2k14. What game should I replace knack with? AC4? I have battlefield on PC and dont play cod.

Knack still looks like a fun game and currently the only platformer. Although im also getting Killzone and Assassin's Creed, those types of games are getting old. Knack will be a good divergence and I have it on order and will play it. I could care less what critics say.

You use it on your projector? I have a projector but it wasn't marked as "3D" (Optoma HD20). Not sure that even matters.

I'm not buying anything specific to watch 3D, but if I happen to have it, I might rent one or two.

Unfortunately, it does matter that it at least makes some mention of 3D support (3D Ready, 3D Capable, etc.). I looked up your projector, and I don't see any indication that it supports 3D. 🙁

depending which ps3 you have, some can't do 3d with HD audio. my phat can't which is why i got a standalone player.

Oddly enough, my friend could never get 3D to work with his fat PS3. I sold him my old DLP HDTV, which I used for 3D (albeit with a 3D-capable receiver), and it worked fine. He goes PS3->3D adapter->TV and uses the optical out for audio to his receiver, but he never gets the prompt for screen size (the indicator for 3D).

It's pretty quick for me, I'm on android. Only window I had to go into the browser was for logging in. Seems a bit rushed but it will be updated later I'm sure.

Do you mean the initial screen with the progress bar? Yeah, it took surprisingly long for me, which maybe made me expect a bit more than just a rather flat, boring app. Also, going to the PlayStation Store just tossed me out into the browser. I guess I just suspected based on some of the previous footage that everything would be all nice and built in.

I played it and I said I had to wait for retail reviews. They are generally average or below. Killzone and NBA 2k14 both have mostly positive reviews. I am just looking for a third title. Knack will not get my $60. I believe it will be the first retail release to be free on psn+

It might not show up on PS+ at all. Sony has a rule that PS+ games have to have a 70+ meta (I think they broke it once, but I am not 100% sure and not sure if the meta went down more after it was already on PS+ or not).

I have 0 faith in reviewers of this generation that blow their load every time a new Halo or Call of Duty is announced.

Which is why I didn't get knack. Figure it would either be free on psn or not at all. Contrast looks to be a better game and that one is free.

It's not a platformer. The demo from the kiosk I played was terrible. Saw those scores coming a mile away.

When I think platformer I see, Jak and daxter, banjo, ratchet and clank, the newer Mario galaxy. Knack is missing a few key components in that it just has one attack move pretty much, and you follow a path from beginning to end using the same formula for defeating enemies.

A platformed has platforms to jump on to avoid pitfalls. Knack doesn't have this.

Anyhow I suppose I'll get ac4 now.

I'm also hearing Titanfall = Call of Duty with jet packs and Ryse = Call of Duty with swords.

Well there is always Dead Rising.. but its Capcom circa 2013 so well see...

Digital Foundry tore into Dead Rising 3 pretty hard. The game runs in the mid 20 fps range most the time and dips below it a fair amount as well as hits 30fps some. Graphically it is a real dog too sadly. It is the 1 game the X1 has I'd like to play as I enjoy the DR games, but this game really looks like a last gen game in its current form.

I still have high hopes for Titanfall - in the past I've really liked mech games and the footage I've seen of it looks great. I will have to get it for Xbox 360 since I am not getting an XB One, though.

The original Dead Rising is the game I finally bought a 360 for.

It was epic. Hours running over zombies in a shuttle in the service tunnels to get the megaman canon.

Now its just getting old.

Killzone is getting beat on pretty bad too.

Maybe this is good. Finally the Halo/Call of Duty/Gears of War formula is no longer welcome.

if that is the case, looks like i'm sticking to killer instinct and crimson dragon as the only x1 games that i will probably purchase this year.
