As much as Im kinda meh over the launch choices they beat PS1 launch any day.

It was damn solid. I watch very few movies twice, very very few, but watched it again on nutflix just a few nights ago. It's just a simple, stupid over the top, but hardcore and awesome movie. Dredd is so hilariously stoic and one-dimensional you can't help but like it.
 
I picked up Killzone, Battlefield 4, and Assassin's Creed. Was almost thinking of getting Need for Speed but Killzone took its place since the graphics look so damn good.

I finally watched the unboxing video for the PS4. Now I'm feeling like I'm getting nickle and dimed for the vertical stand which is clearly shown on the box, but not included. Yes, it's petty, but $18? Come on.

Surprised? Since the PS2 Sony has sold a vertical stand separately.
 
Man, this release snafu has put me in a rather bitter mood. :| I feel like I was being a good consumer and waiting for proper reviews to get an idea of the game before I spend my money on it. However, Amazon screws me over by making the majority of the people have to buy the game within a four hour period when I was able to wait until Saturday. Thanks, Amazon! Now I get to wait until Saturday... that is the third Saturday in December to actually get my games! Not to mention, since they're now considered officially released ahead of their proper 11/15 release date, we don't get pre-order bonuses anymore. I want my stupid, useless crap! :| To be fair, I do buy a decent amount of soundtracks, so I am interested in seeing if the Killzone soundtrack (comes with the pre-order) is any good -- or rather I was.

Oh, and given that either the PS4 or the X1 will become my new downstairs Blu-Ray player, I don't appreciate the lack of information on media remotes. Who wants to use a controller to navigate menus and stuff?

What games did you want to get? I almost ordered on amazon at 12pm then I saw I could apply for their visa card to get $30 bucks off but I messed up the app because I rushed through it so I don't think it got accepted. Then I realized before checking out that I would not get my games on time.

So I just logged off and went to target. Got cod just to play mp with my friends who are also getting the console Friday. Killzone looks great, despite just being a shooter, even though I'm not all into sci fi stuff, and AC because I knew what to expect with that one. As for knack, I will wait on reviews and the sports games I can get when they become cheaper.
 
Every time I try to watch XBone or PS4 game videos I just kinda yawn. I want/need something that takes gaming in a whole new direction. Destiny looks like a typical FPS with nicer graphics.

Titanfall on Xbone may fit the bill for ya.

If that doesnt, a combination portal/FPS would be the only thing I could think of.

The one game I had some interest in got delayed to 2014. WatchDogs. Probably nothing new but I had hopes that it would have something original about it.

I already had Knack on pre-order, which is why I got the other code. I was a bit unsure of what to get, but I was eyeing Need for Speed and Killzone. Since I prefer fairly standard racers (think PGR) and not the biggest fan of shooters on consoles, I didn't know if I'd like them, which is why I wanted to wait to see if they were rated well.

I would've considered going to Target instead, but NFS doesn't come out until Friday and Amazon doesn't like you returning things you don't want. Unlike most stores, they like to hit you with fees... or at least they've tried to do that with me in the past. I'd like to talk to an Amazon CSR about them silently moving the date up like that. The original plan was to pre-order after the reviews go up later this morning as that should've been enough time. However, this whole sneakily shifting the release date up isn't cool.

I think I'll just buy AC4 for the PC since no one plays MP in that game anyway. 😛 Although, I kind of want to go on eBay and buy the collector's edition statue. 😳
