To be fair, the previous PS4 commercial was incredibly bad. With some Victorian-themed hipster talking about some nonsense while walking around... Sadly, they played it 1000 times during the NBA finals.

Can't see this commercial due to youtube restrictions at work, so I will have to check it out later. Probably will see it Thursday during game 7 though.

How is that fair? How does one bad commercial balance out another, let alone from the same company for the same product?

This commercial was cringeworthy.

They set the history of bad commercials already. After the first being bad, you can't expect the rest to be better.

Their marketing team must not be very good. But at least they are not as bad as Samsung's "hey let's make fun of the iPhone" commercials. How desperate can you get to make fun of people waiting in line to get a phone when nobody is waiting in line to get yours. >_>

Haha, true. While I do find Samsung's commercials amusing, I despise the tactic. If your product is so awesome, just promote the product, the awesomeness will take care of the rest.

I saw this video a few weeks ago. It is bad, but not bad enought to make me cancel my pre-order. I am really hoping that I am just not catching the sarcasm, because that would be pretty pathetic.

We are talking about Apple cultist. They have to be deprogrammed, not advertised to. 😉

And that PS4 Ad was so bad, it gave me cancer. New PC build is looking better all the time. As to not being able to play exclusives, I will get over it...OK, over it. Maybe down the road, but for now, I am not feeling it with the next gen consoles. Though PS4 is much closer to getting my money than XBone is, at this time.

True man some of the ps3 commercials were dumb and a few Xbox 360 ones I thought were meh. I still bought em anyhow
 
I think advertisements are largely for morons. They can't change the facts at hand, the system either does and IS what you want, or it's not. Research and first-hand experience FTW.

Yeah, it made me hate the guy even more. If an ugly girl sent me a message I would toss the controller out the window and try to get some action. Or maybe the point of the ad was if you have a PS4, you get hot girls messaging you. I better hold onto my preorder, just in case. The closest I got to any action on PS3 was in Burnout. A guy pointed the camera at his naked, hairy ass. So when you did a takedown on him his ass would flash on the screen. The bastard would even drive slow to make it easy for you.

1) It was a joke (sorta)
2) I already saw the commercial and cannot 'unwatch' it after being disgusted by it
3) The comment was borne of a sentiment rooted in wanting to punish companies that employ douchebags for promotional videos and other materials
4) If I do want a PS4 while not supporting Sony, I can always by it (and games) second hand in the future.
