Yup the console is still top new for any huge deals but I'm sure there will be bundles.

I'm really hoping for a controller deal. I could use another PS4 controller.

Walmart has a deal today for a PS4 plus an extra controller and one game for $459. That's exactly what I wanted so rather than hoping for something better on black Friday or cyber Monday I snagged it today and chose Infamous Second Son as my free game. I was hoping they would have Shadow of Mordor as an option for the free game but I wanted Infamous anyway so it worked out fine. There's 15 games to chose from including Destiny, Last of Us, Watch Dogs and Madden/NBA 15. Here's the link:

That's an awesome deal. I need a second controller. I have pretty much all those games now.

Ok so you can play all the games you downloaded on your Vita on it then? As far as memory goes can I just pop in the card in currently using on my Vita?

Yes and Yes. The 8GB card was my Vita's old card, and all the games and such showed up. If I had to guess, it might rely on you logging into your account during setup. Also, make sure to authorize the device for games for your account in the settings menu.

My only problem is that you could probably get a better deal if you'd buy things separately. I got my PSTV's DS4 for $40, and Infamous: Second Son has been on sale for $30 before. The PS4 itself has been on sale for $350-360 numerous times.

Although, it is nice to not have to be ready to pounce on a good deal before it's gone.

So, I hooked the PlayStation TV up as close as I could get it to the PS4, and no dice. It's still just not playable in Resogun. Keep in mind that you can play it, so it's technically playable. However, if you've ever played Resogun, you know that twitch movements are a way of life, and that's next to impossible on the PlayStation TV.

So, Ars is reporting that remote play works pretty well as long as both ends are wired. Is your switch gigabit?

Yep. All of my hardware is Gig-E based. Although, I read their article, and they didn't seem all that enthused with the streaming. They definitely found it terrible over Wi-Fi, but acceptable under Ethernet. However, it is important to keep in mind the test being done. Ultimately, we're both performing subjective tests (i.e. how it seems to us vs. using equipment to test the latency), but we're using different games. I use Resogun as it's probably the game that I own that requires the highest reaction speed.

After I was done testing with the PSTV on the same switch as the PS4, I just switched my receiver over to the PS4 and played the game natively. Honestly, it was night and day difference. I went from being completely incapable of making quick maneuvers to doing my usual, crazy antics like zipping through the smallest path between enemies that I could possibly find and doing quick turns that allowed me to narrowly escape impending doom.

Doesn't sound like I should buy one yet. My whole reason for one is to play my ps4 games when someone is hogging the main tv.

Yeah, I'm getting that same feeling. In fact lately I've been thinking I might push my whole PS4 purchase back another 6-12 months. I still have too much backlog on my 360.

I kepe pushing stuff, and I ended up having to buy last of us on PS4 because i waited too long to play it on PS3, before PS4 came out.

I'm now playing shadows of mordor, nba2k5, and mario kart 8. the latter is getting the most play time, lol.

I can try making a video to show how well it works with different games. I'm guessing it would help the most to have it as a comparative video showing how it plays on the PSTV's streaming vs. the PS4 natively.

I am also wondering about the internet connection. I currently have a 50mb connection but that may change in a few months when Comcast hikes my bill up and I have to lower the speed to save money by calling in and complaining to cancel..they usually never keep me on the same plan.

So if you need a super robust connection that may have something to do with it too. Or maybe it will be fixed with an update.

The Internet connection should only matter if you want to use the PSTV (or Vita) when you're outside of your LAN.

Sounds cool although I'd never use the plug in your mp3 drive for music. The themes and organization will help. Also, adding games to your library is good since you can add every free psn game and decide later if you like it or not.

Working well over wifi for me here, but using direct link (punching in 8 digit code in add device menu) and plays like I'm at my PS4 instead of remotely playing it.

Hmm I'm tempted to pick up this at Wal-Mart. I have my ps4 connected via Ethernet adapters and it has great speed. I wonder if I just wire the ps tv to my router if I will have any issues.

I've never tried pairing the devices, but I didn't even consider it, because I've never had to do it with my Vita. I'll give it a shot tonight after I get home.

I picked up a ps tv at Wal-Mart tonite. Hopefully I have enough outlets by my pc to hook it up to my tv in the closet so I'll pull the tv out when I wanna play.

Let us know how it works for you compared to what some of us have reported. Don't forget to possibly try changing things like turning off Direct Connect, which is a setting on the PS4. Just to note, you can't change those settings while using PS4 Link, so you'll have to do it through the PS4 itself.

Well I have the ps4 hooked up in the living room via wireless Ethernet power line adapters which are connected through the router. In my room I have the router, my second tv and the ps tv connected via Ethernet through the router. It's still a bit laggy and takes getting used to.

Not sure how you make it smoother. I have direct connect turned on because previously it was off.

How can you use the Mic that came with the system on the ps tv? I have it hooked into my controller and can hear my friends chatting via the ps tv but my Mic won't work. There is an option in ps tv to mute Mic or disable it but I can't select it.

I can join a party in ps tv and it works but they can't hear me. Says my nat is type 2 and it does not work if its nat type 3 is what the ps tv says for the chat audio. So I'm not sure what's going on.
