Or you can use the $10 PSN credit and buy the year right there for $40.

Heads up though, Gamestop for this Black Friday will have PS+ for 1 year on sale for $30.

Oh nice I didn't realize you could use that credit for psn plus membership. I will not be out black Friday so I'll check online and maybe call that day after work to see if they have any left.

Cool so I'll have 25months of psn+ and 24months of xbl gold since I just got an xbl code from a buddy of mine for $35
 
Dumb question of the day: is online multiplayer the only thing you get from PSN+ or is there another reason to buy it? I had Xbox Live Gold for a couple of months, but it did not seem to give me anything but multiplayer which I never really used. Just want to know if PSN+ is the same before bothering to sign up.

You need psn plus to play multiplayer and get the free games monthly. You do not need psn plus to watch Netflix or use any of the ps4 internet apps.
 
It depends some months yes sometimes no. Not guaranteed you will like all of them. But if you ever want to jump online for multiplayer you have to buy psn plus. My guess is they have improved the servers, I hope.

They have given away infamous 2, super street fighter 4 arcade edition, double dragon neon, little big planet 2, oddworld: Abe's Odyssey among other titles on ps3. I would say they give away decent games.

They give away games for the psvita as well.

I got my controller and Knack two days ago from Best Buy. I received an email that Assassin's Creed is ready to be picked up today.

PS+ is awesome. You also receive bigger discounts on sales for games and in a lot of cases exclusive sales just for + members or other perks. Also for the PS4 any F2P games you play as a PS+ member will give you added content to that game.

The games they are giving you day one on the PS4 with PS+ are Resongun and Contrast, both look very good.

Every month they will be giving a PS4 game to PS+ members and PS3 and Vita games as well.

Here is a list of the games they have given away so far with PS+

Nice! I can only imagine Ultra SF4 will come out on the next gen, but probably a delayed release. However, EVO did announced the Xbox One is their new official console sponsor (perhaps, more can be read from that statement than intended >_> ).
