Awesome

Nice to see some people win these things, and using the "free code" no less. Didn't know there was a free code or I would have been trying way earlier. Guess I'll get this week in though ;)

Yeah tried 3 times already once per day and nothing. I'll keep doing it until the 10th. If I could win I would give it as a gift for Xmas to my brother.

Several places are having midnight launch parties with extra units intentionally left over for launch day sale.

It depends, my best buy is having a midnight release and I got an email being invited to it. If you wanted to pre order accessories you could but consoles would only be for those who preordered. Maybe check all your stored a day before.

I plan on it, I'm willing to camp out 4-5 hours if it means making $400-500 on reselling it.

I'm not gonna lie, I would feel like a scumbag making that much money off of this, lol. Not to mention I just dunno where I'd sell it.

I don't see it happening, either. There will probably be some examples of people paying stupid amounts but in general I bet they're no more than $100 or so on average, maybe $150.

I saw multiple ones closing with bids in the $700's for the standard launch day pack. No games, no extra controllers. That was less than 24 hours ago. A $1000 for a launch day with games and an extra controller? Possible.

That's a bundle. They are talking about just reselling a single console.

single consoles typically sell much better than consoles + accessories/games.

at least my past experience selling ps3, wii, and 360 has me with that conclusion. games are easy to find in this day and age anywhere, but the consoles aren't.

what I'm saying is that I don't think they are going to hit $1000 without extras.

Purebeast beat me to it but a lot of people refuse to buy bundles with stuff they may not buy otherwise. They want to pick their games.

i sold a single launch day xbox360, the $400 version, for $1800 with overnight shipping. i do not expect this launch to be anywhere near this though, due to all the reports of how many are going to be out there.

Just this past Friday Gamestop was taking more pre-orders for the XB1. One day only, they had a few available to offer. Tells me they expect to receive a good number.

I don't expect you can make more than 90-100 bucks off of this selling on eBay. Or maybe take your chance on craigslist.

The graphics look amazing, but it's hard to tell what if any of that is in the game engine. The physics look a little arcade-y, but I am happy with, say, a PGR level of arcadiness.

Yeah looks great I wonder how the damage model is implemented. Been a while since I've played a racing game.

Updated release list of games. Might want to put it in the OP.

Sony has made several tweaks to the PlayStation 4 launch lineup, adding a handful more titles including indies Trine 2: The Complete Story and Blacklight Retribution and subtracting others like Tiny Brains and Pinball Arcade that were previously expected to be available alongside the console on Nov. 15.

As of today, players will have access to the following 23 games on launch day:

Angry Birds Star Wars, Activision

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Ubisoft

Battlefield 4, Electronic Arts

Blacklight Retribution, Zombie Studios

Call of Duty: Ghosts, Activison

Contrast, Compulsion Games

DC Universe Online, Sony Online Entertainment

FIFA 14, EA Sports

Flower, Sony Computer Entertainment WorldWide Studios

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment

Just Dance 2014, Ubisoft

Killzone: Shadow Fall, Sony Computer Entertainment WorldWide Studios

Knack, Sony Computer Entertainment WorldWide Studios

Lego Marvel Super Heroes, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment

Madden NFL 25, EA Sports

NBA 2K14, 2K Sports

Need For Speed: Rivals, Electronic Arts

Resogun, Sony Computer Entertainment WorldWide Studios

Skylanders SWAP Force, Activision

Sound Shapes, Sony Computer Entertainment WorldWide Studios

Super Motherload, XGen Studios

Trine 2: The Complete Story, Frozenbyte

Warframe, Digital Extremes

Damn, that is a lot. People are desperate. It seems almost impossible that supply issues will not be completely resolved shortly after Christmas at the latest, and assuming there are any supply issues.

Yep, this wouldn't be possible if supply was severely crunched I don't think.

That is just so pathetic. Who wants a 360 that badly or is such a pushover as a parent? Good for you, though. Early bird gets the worm, I don't really have an issue with people reselling these even if it is a huge annoyance for some consumers who don't pay attention to release dates.

Honestly, I've always held Sony's gaming software on rather shaky ground. I hate using the PS3's OS + software, because they don't normally work well and feel disjointed. I'm sitting here trying to "buy" Dragon's Dogma on the SOE online store, and it keeps telling me that my login failed... after I already logged in successfully. Sigh, Sony... you really don't know how to instill much confidence that you've actually got a decent online system setup, which makes me wonder how awful things will be next Friday. :\
