I don't see the ISO setting, which was probably too high. Mine is locked at 100.

ISO 100, I just checked. Ah well, I've heard that the A70 has noise problems on certain dark pictures... one of it's few faults. You're a Sony guy, aren't you?

I've got a DSC-F707, and my son has the DSC-V1. I like mine a LOT more than his, but it's a LOT bigger.

If I were buying today, I'd be looking at the Panasonic Lumix series. I wish somebody would buy one, so we can see what it can do!

Why would you be looking at a Lumix? Just curious. I'm getting a Christmas Bonus (about $250) and was thinking about selling my A70 and upgrading.

I'd buy it at a brick & mortar that I could return it to, if it was no good. The ability to focus in low light has been a big issue, and I don't know how the Panasonic would fair in that regard.

I got the DMZFZ1 (upgraded to FZ2 firmware) 2MP Lumix. For photos taken using my Lumix, go here. I absolutely love the 12x zoom! Just take a look @ the Statue of Liberty shots :D

We're finally buying our tree tonight! I should prolly bring my camera and take photos of the "tree choosing ceremony!" ;)

Raciel, did you by any chance, lock the white balance to sun light? Auto mode should have compensated for most of those indoor shots.

I told my dad about your camera. He really wants the long lens for nature shots and what not. He balked at the price though. I couldn't convince him what a great deal it was. :p

BTW, this is supposed to be a Xmas tree topic! Where's yours?

LOL I told you, I'm buying my tree tonight! I swear I'll take photos!

I just got the camera a few days before my NYC trip, so I was unable to read the manual and play a bit with the settings.

Tell your Dad that RitzCamera is selling that 2MP lumix for $249.99 Free shipping, No taxes. If he wants a higher megapixel, they have the new 3MP Lumix (same, if not better features) but it's about $100 more. I know that 249 is pricey, but for 12x optical + 3x digital, it was too good to pass up :D
