I have an alkaline battery charger. Have recharged the factory Panasonic batteries like 3 times since launch.

How much was an alkaline battery charger that can safely charge non-rechargeable batteries?

Unsure how much they are now. I got the Saitek Eco Charger like 10 years ago for like $60 (cnd) I can extend the life of most alkaline batteries like 7-10x.

Nyco just said they're releasing a charge pack for 2 Wii-motes and a charging base. The original battery pack is replaced by this rubberized backing of the pack. Will this blow up our Wi-motes? 😛

Just got Metal Slug Anthology today for $6.99 ... thank you gift cards. 🙂

I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a hardcore 2D side-scrolling shooter fan. The presentation sucks, and the best control method is a Wavebird. Second best is the "use the remote sideways" but the tiny D-Pad will hamper large hands, and anyone who cradles the remote will be cussing regularily as the trigger accidentally activates the "Make your vehicle explode" kamakazie attack.

If you love the Metal Slug series though, by all means. Get it. 1-6 and X. Hard to argue with that, esp. at the MSRP of US$40. 😀

hell yea i loved playing Metal Slug in the arcades. I tried getting it at a local video game store but they were sold out as was fry's which is constantly sold out of everything related to Wii except those crappy controller grips and the tennis racket/putter attachment thingy. Every place within 10 miles of me that sells anything video game, has been sold out of Wii stuff the same day they get them and i preordered Warioware just in case

just ordered a rechargable station with 4 batteries plus 4 more batteries for $18 off Geeks.com so i wont have to deal with potentially crappy 3rd party rechargable junk and i can use them for wutever i want and i bet it will be less too

i got the anthology too. very fun (never played it in an arcade). although its hard as hell, but the unlimited continues makes it nice. not sure if thats a bug or its supposed to work that way though.

someone get Warioware and let us know how it is

It is awesome...I'm loving every minute of playing it. Bout to go to my friends house and play some multi.

There is a game or two that I just can't figure out how they expect me to do it (the shuffling papers one specifically), but by and large, you just do what it says and it works perfectly. It is very difficult to play the game sitting down though, unless you dont want to get into the spirit of it.

There had to have been some serious drug use involved in making the game and the cinemas, but it's absolutely brilliant.

The "deep thoughts, by jack handey" way they explain the stances is also really damn funny.

And if you've seen the ass slapping dance pictures, and you're wondering....the answer is yes...you have to do ALL the dance moves, ass slapping included, or else you will get sent off the stage. 😛

Got my X2VGA package today, going to test it out. The Wii component cables they sell were like $4 and like 3x thicker than the ones I got from Play-Asia! I'll take pics of the cables later 😀

how weird is this - i can access the forecast channel but can't shop. is the shop channel down?

My guess is that the shop channel is overwhelmed because they've *finally* released a game that is worth the money that they charge for VC games - Zelda: A Link to the Past.

It is one of the best games ever made, and I wouldnt hesitate to spend 8 bucks on it. The VC has a lot of good games, but Zelda 3 is the *only* one worth the cash...if you've never played it before, get it, and if you have, then you'll probably get it anyway. 😛

I'm not quite sure what you hope to gain with it though?

yes, so what does adding an SD card do for me? does it save more games? or what is it used for?

It's my understanding that you can copy your Virtual Console games to the card to free up internal storage space. I bought two for my Wii cause I was able to find them cheap, but I haven't even put anything on either yet.

Sure, you can do that, but unless you've bought every game already released and then some, the internal 512mb is plenty.

And you can't play the games off the SD card - you have to manually copy them over to internal memory each time you want to play them, so you might as well just re-download them.

And if you're buying that many VC games, you're just out of your mind, considering what a ripoff they are.

For $22 bucks a 2gb card is a good deal, but it's not really going to accomplish anything meaningful for the wii for quite some time.

as previously stated like 200 pages back, in some games (excite truck is the only one I know of so far) you can load mp3's onto the card and play them mid-game.

has anyone had issues with wii remotes syncing with the system? It's happened twice where I had to unplug the power to get a single controller to register

Any lefties want to chime in on the control? Do you have to play the Wii right-handed, or can you play left-handed?

I've had the same problem once or twice. I thought my batteries were dead, but it still happened after I replaced them. I was just randomly pushing buttons and trying to resync the remote and it finally worked.
