quick question about the rca cables.

is it one single proprietary cable that splits into the rca cables or what?
i'm going to most likely need to get a special adapter for RCA to stereo. Will the adapter linked work or do I need an adapter with femal rca ends?
 
I worked a 12hr shift Sunday and wasted every hour before work trying to find a second Wii for a friend (mine was preordered). Instead, he took mine home and got a day of Zelda in. I went to class in the morning and rushed home to play for the first time. I was heart-broken to find that it no longer functioned. Nintendo is sending me an advance replacement Wii and two DS lites though (decided to replace my two launch units which developed the hairline hinge cracks.).

At least I could still try out the Wiimote in the menu. 🙂

If you want to plug it into something that only has a stereo mini jack input, then yes you'll need an adapter that has female RCA ends.
 
A remote that was working just fine this morning has stopped responding altogether, after a battery change as well. A little stumped and frustrated. How else am I going to entertain our thanksgiving visitors?

edit: Holding both synch buttons down for a couple minutes got the remote re-connected. No idea how it got unsynched.

did you try normal AA's (I presume you're using NiMH since you mentioned charging)?

Damn, I should have went ahead and bought the last one they had at gamestop when I was picking up rainbow six on Wednesday. I would have sent it to you just for cost + shipping. I don't really need to make any money off of it nor do I care about that.

2 or 3 people called while I was checking out about Wii's and he told them all first come first served. I should have seized the opportunity... :brokenheart:
 
So, for the Wii email system, all you have to do is register the email addresss that you want to send to/from, and it will send you a confirmation that you have to reply to?

The system must just be really slow, because we registered my email address last night, and still nothing..

Edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. It went into outlook's junk mail folder.
 
Wii Sports has got to be one of the best Wii games, even as a pack-in! Zelda is also really addictive and fun (I was almost late for class the past 2 days.)!!!
 
So has anyone heard about more going on sale tomorrow morning? I just took a look at all the black friday ads and didn't see any of the major retailers even listing Wii, but all seemed to have PS3 stuff (even though we all know they won't actually have any in stock).

My brother is retarded or something. The kid was a three sport varsity athlete and he doesn't have the coordination to let go of the button at the right time in bowling. He didn't hit a single homer in the home run derby minigame, and he didn't have the attention span for golf. He said he liked it, I think he was just too distracted.

hey man, I can barely get a homer... heh. I hate the golf game tho. Tennis and bowling is it for me basically.

I do however need another TV. I can't play zelda for hours on end..... I do have AV inputs on my iMac... hrmmm.... brb 😀

I never expected for the Wii to be so popular, called eight places and visited six of them, hopefully I'll be able to find one this weekend.
