I just picked up a second wiimote at target, but they didn't have any nunchucks. Or much else for that matter.

That looks like a curved CRT. CRTs are pretty damn tough and Wiimotes are rather light. Anyone else wonder if it was a near full can or glass bottle of beer thrown at the TV? and he's blaming the Wii wrist strap?

I was thinking about picking up some of those ruberized skins for the wii motes just for this very reason though. I'd think it would, reduce the risk of loosing your grip, reduce the damage that it causes, and distinguish better between the Wiimotes (due to Mii storage).

How hard are those damn people swinging? The Wii doesn't seem to really require forceful movements. At least not strong enough to break the strap from the controller.

I can grip the controller perfectly fine. I wonder how the hell they did that, if they even did. The controller is pretty damn light without batteries. It seems crazy thatit would crack a CRT.

how does that look like a curved CRT... it most likely is a projection tv.

As for the motion.. you can sit and barely flick and it'll work. That's not fun of course, but you can do that. These guys seem like they just got crazy with it.

HA! wow... how could I think it was a CRT, definetly not a Plasma or LCD though ... I blame the aspertame. Highly alergic. Makes me dizzy and see wierd things (seriously). Had a strange craving for an orange soda today and bought a diet one forgetting to check as I haven't had any pop in months.

... hmm that's interesting. I'd call it a type of "pop", but yet I also say Orange Soda ... like it's part of the name. Most of the time though, I just call them all soft drinks and avoid the whole pop vs soda thing.

Damnit ... i hate being high off aspertame... i get so wierd and rant like above.

He said sure and opened the box for me. No more Wii's though so I'm stuck here looking at my accessories (I even got an SD card from Fry's) with no system =o(

Also Walmart in Milpitas has some controllers left (about 6) as of this morning as well.

Went up to newark, only had wiimotes left. Nunchuks all gone. grr. oh well. only boxing requires the nuncuk and we aren't so excited about it.

I waited at my local Walmart for 9 hours. Very much worth the time there. I bought the system, extra remote and nunchuck, Red Steel and Zelda. Wii Sports has been a blast, but I hate the boxing, only because my girlfriend has stomped me at it everytime. I haven't gotten to play the most anticipated game, Zelda, because she has been hogging the heck outta it. Red Steel though, I thought I wasted my money because I was expecting to pick it up real quick, but after about 30 minutes or so, I can play it pretty smoothly. Turning definitely needs worked on for FPS, but overall it's an enjoyable game which is easy to get used to. I took lunch today with my brother to go get some Red Steel in. The multiplayer is pretty fun, so fun that I am pretty upset they decided to exclude online play. Still worth it, and great for a first try FPS. Anyway, I have had zero problems with connection to my router, or remote connection. Overall, I'm glad I wasted my time at Walmart.

Sword fighting is probably the easiest thing to do in the game thus far. You swing up, down, left or right, and can use the nunchuck to dodge and use a broken sword to block by pushing the nunchuck forward. Like I said, it's probably the easiest thing I've encountered so far.
I was debating whether or not to get Red Steel, based on inconsistant reviews. The swordfighting is what really pulled me in. Have you sword fought yet? If you have, how is it?

Anyone know if multiplayer in Rayman Raving Rabids needs the numchuk?

Yes it requires the nunchuk.

You can find what other games require it.

link

find title, if they have "accesories" listed on the game page its likely needed for something in the game.

Ya, thats definitely a projection. It's probably just the glare filter thats cracked, they can most likely slip it off, and itll still work fine. I don't think the lenticulated screen would crack like that. No way a curved CRT will break by the wiimote....I've taken baseball bats to some of that and not been able to crack them.

But yeah, a plasma or lcd will get destroyed by them. I've already had a friend have an almost accident, thank god for the wrist strap. Seriously, put them on.

It's amazing how many things in life are prevented by "put them on."

My CC bundle shipped yay! I got a Wii, extra remote with nunchuk, and Zelda.

I have to get a hold of component cables though, but it seems like it is backordered everywhere.

It's NUNCHUCK, FFS!!!

LOL...you might want to rethink that:

Nunchuk

i was going by what amazon had, but at least its not numchuck

I'd guess this is one of those cases where I've simply seen the word spelled incorrectly too many times. I'm a bad speller, but I know I've seen it "numchuk" many other times. Usually my misspellings are because I don't have a visual memory of the word.

I thought I saw something in the system setup where you could configure that. Mine goes off as well (which I want it to do).

Nah, it's not supposed to stay lit all the time. Only when you turn on the system without a disc in I think, and when it receives something from wiiconnect24.

Has ANYONE foudnc omponent cables locally?

This sucks.

I can't find a Wii ANYWHERE in my town.
I've called Target, Gamestop x2, BestBuy, K-Mart(what a joke)x2, Wal-Mart x2, Costco.
All of them sold out before 10Am on Sunday.

I thought there were going to be plenty to go around on launch day.
I guess not.

You know,..... I blame Sony for this.
Sony didn't produce enough Ps3s for it's launch date, people were well aware of this.
So, after seeing someone get shot, fights breaking out and that dude with the face in the pole, Ebay auctions $2500+ for a Ps3 all over the news, people thought they could get into the action with the Nintendo Wii.

So now once again Ebay is flooded with over priced video game systems,.....

Agh,..... I feel like Eric Freakin' Cartman. lol I just want my Nintendo Wii dammit!

Eh,.... seems like every store will be getting more in on Black Friday.
Too bad I have to work,......

anyways,....

Maybe I'll just go pick up Gears of War and Guitar Hero II to keep me busy,....

/end rant.

I feel stupid now, I was holding the controller wrong on Golf the whole time. You're supposed to hold it with the buttons facing away from you (not towards the screen), it's a MUCH better game now.
