the guy probably isnt in the US though because those are the pre-unlocked phones that you can only get overseas i think.

I didn't see any option to preorder w/out a contract in the states but I could be mistaken
 
you guys who reserved at apple get the follow up email as well? kinda amazed that they sent one...since it was so fuckin nuts on pre-order day i almost thought they would make an error and i wouldnt get anything, heh.
 
Heh. Outlook not good for this release for those who didn't pre-order. Apple didn't make enough iPhones to create hype as alwayz.
 
I got my order in at attwireless.com around 6PM EST on the 15th. Never got an order confirmation email.

Using the order status on attwireless.com, I see my phone is on its way and may even get here a day early. JACKPOT.

oh, its a bit different for people who preorder. youre definitely good. theyll hold your phone til the 24th though!
 
I gambled and put my 16GB 3GS up for sale yesterday, it sold in a couple hours, so I'm using a crappy flip phone for the time bring and hoping I can score a 4 on Thursday.

I only mailed it an hour ago and I already miss it.

I haven't seen anyone mention this yet, but I was able to order a new iPhone from Apple earlier today. My order status page shows it as shipping the second week of July. So, it looks like the ordering freeze has been lifted.
 
My co-worker just got one delivered and activated it no problem. Makes me annoyed (and of course jealous) that I wasn't patient enough to be able to get it shipped. Instead I have one reserved to pick up tomorrow.
 
Noooooooo! I had it shipped to my house b/c I've never had to sign for an AT&T package before. Well, this one needed a signature.

Now I have to wait for them to attempt to deliver 3 times before I can pick it up. They will not hold the package for me and allow me to pick it up before then. How dumb is that?
