So, the Democrats have won the White House for another four years and likely picked up seats in the US Senate. This thread isn't about them. GOP'ers, this thread is for you to legitimately rain on their parade with tales of your own victories. Tell us how you (and by some spooky transitive property, America) won last night.

I'll start. Congratulations to Roy Moore, the new (and old) Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, who defeated the Democratic nominee, Robert Vance. You may know him nationally as the "ten commandments judge" from 2000.

Linky

So, how did the GOP win where you are? Inquiring minds want to see the flip side of the coin from last night.

It turned out how I expected. We have the same basic make up of govt we had Nov 5th.
I do believe the drug laws passing in Washington and CO are a win for the country.

Texans elected another Republican (Ted Cruz) to take Kay Bailey Hutchinson's seat in the Senate. A Republican (Randy Weber) was elected to take Ron Paul's seat. Republicans maintained control of Congress and have the both houses in Texas.

Wisconsin's state government now has Republicans with majorities in the Assembly, Senate, and Walker as governor.

We'll see how much bullshit they try to pull now that we have one-party rule.

Payback for the sake of payback is never good. One-party rule is always bad.

If you weren't such a partisan hack you'd acknowledge that plain and obvious truth.

And you wouldn't be complaining if it was democrats instead?

This country is screwed and what you dont understand is that a vast majority of politicians are corrupt and serve special interests.

Both parties will increase taxes, spending and regulation

That can't be true. I was told a fundamental change to America was coming on November 6th.

Their must be some change, right?

That is his point, he would complain just the same if the D's had Wisconsin locked up just like the R's. Yes, I know this is mind blowing to you.

Most of the democrat supporters on here seemed happy with obama winning though, You think they would have a problem with democrats locked up everything?

Yup, I'm starting to make plans to move my family to your fine state. CA is now run by the crooks in the asylum. CA you can kiss my $40,000 goodbye that my wife and I 'donated' this year to this shithole state.

More news from down south: Lucy Baxley has lost her seat on the Public Service Commission in Alabama. This is extremely significant because of the following:

Baxley was the last Democrat to hold a statewide office in Alabama. Her defeat by Cavanaugh marks a historic high point for Alabama Republicans: Baring a late sprint by Democrat Robert Vance, who trailed Roy Moore in the race for chief justice, the GOP now has complete political control of all three branches of state government.

That means Alabama's governor and lieutenant governor are Republicans. The attorney general is a Republican. The Alabama secretary of state and state treasurer are Republicans. The speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives and leader of the Alabama Senate are Republicans. The GOP owns a "super majority" of seats in the Legislature. All nine members of the Alabama Supreme Court are Republicans. Every judge on the criminal and civil courts of appeals are Republicans. The two remaining members of the PSC are Republicans.

Looks like we are now under full GOP control.
