In the invite email, it says you can keep your account, they will not be resetting them.

I got mine on wednesday, and today I had 6 invites available (ALL GONE THOUGH) And I don't use it much at all, only sent 4 or 5 emails, and received 5.

the invitations are all coming in a batch of 6 now.

before that it was a batch of 5. before that a batch of 3. and way back two months ago it came in a batch of 2 (this is when Gmail invitations are so scarce people are willing to pay up to $100, maybe even more, in Ebay).

I think Google is doing something amazing here.. It started out them inviting a select few.. then they invited.. and so on and so on!
