If I remember right it was said that he was on the plane that crashed here in PA

It was hard to verify anything as only 1 or 2 people knew his real name, but there was a LONG thread about him, as to what could be verified, and IF I remember right , he was on the passenger list for the plane.
Wonder if the thread is in the archives ?

So once you get one of these invites the account only works for three weeks ? does the account become reactivated once G-mail goes live ? Is there anyway to upgrade the account right away or will we just have to wait 🙂

it says that when gmail goes live we can keep our acounts becsue we are helping them test it becasue it is still in beta stage.

That means you have 3 weeks from the time that email was sent until you can open the account. Once it's open, then it's open. If you don't open in in 3 weeks, you lose it.
 
I suppose I should grovel and beg too? It'd help from school since I can't mail attachments larger than 1MB to myself. (I hate burning CD's for 1 or 2 files, 2 or 3 times a week to keep my data updated.)

Nope, the INVITE is only good for 3 weeks. You have 3 weeks to use the invite.

I send the invites to myself, then I copy and paste the links to the invites in the PM to send to people. I find it easier that way. 🙂
 
I don't want to be the only one sharing, so if I am going to continue sharing, I hope I see others contributing. Otherwise, this is just going to turn into another LAME thread like GMAILSWAP. ;-)
