it's against the terms and conditions to profit from an invite, so gmailswap is pretty much out of the question for people now.

I've had my account for almost 2 weeks... no sign of any invites... 🙁

Its not based on activity is it?? I've sent and recieved 10/15 emails, but not a ton...

I think it was in the beginning, but now I'm not so sure. At first, I wasn't really using my gmail account, so no invites. Then I started using it. That's when invites started coming. But like I said before, I think they already have enough beta testers and have either stopped offering invites or it's only being offered to those who really use their accounts.
 
Ok, this is my first post ever on the Anandtech forums, just created my shiny new AT account. I've been a lurker for years, but the thought of a Gmail invite has drawn me out of the shadows. ::: drool :::

Any invites left? PM one to me someone, please?

nope. gmailswap is still going strong. check for yourself.

the revision to terms and conditions is to prohibit: "..sell, trade, resell, or otherwise exploit for any unauthorised commercial purpose or transfer any Gmail account."

it says account, so by that definition, selling, trading, reselling, and exploit a Gmail invitations is still allowed.

the revision is to make it illegal for an average joe like me to 'squat' account name (e.g. register as newyorkyankees@gmail.com and then try to sell it to the Yankees for a thousand dollars.)
 
I'll give a Gmail invite to the first person that emails me (kevinmclain@gmail.com) a working OfficeMax.com (internet order) coupon code for either $20/$25 off $100 or $15/$20 off $75. M$ was supposed to follow yahoo on july 1 and upgrade all existing accounts? Mine is still sucky.
