Ok lets make this one a fun one.. I have one invite here in my box and it's for the AT member that can reply to this post in "quotes" and when he or she does.. it will be post # 666

no repeat replies will count it has to be one post with the one reply and the posts should say 666

so if you have 665, waste your next post with my quote and you have yourself GMAIL !!!!!!!!!

PS: No begging thru PM's either, which will be ignored anyhow 🙂

The would be winner has exactly 15mins to reply (from my edit time posted below) here and then PM to confirm his/hers #666 post.

If no one replies i will select another #

i reduiced the time to 15mins cause people will just post elsewhere nonsences to get to 666 here.
This will make it more challenging .. hehe

Ok, seems I got another invite here. So I'm back with my Tolkien trivia questions 🙂

Sorry it's kinda like the last one, but here it goes:

I'm sure you know who Arwen is. But do you know what her 2nd name is, what it means, and why she was given it?

No direct quoting from Google please , and keep in mind that just like the last time the question is very specific. The first one to post the right answer gets the invite link. Please no PMs.

Thanks and good luck.

Arwen Evenstar
Means: Evening Star
Reason: The evening star was the light of the last Silmaril, bound to the brow of her grandfather Eärendil

Arwen means "Noble maiden"

^ Quote taken off encyclopedia of Arda, I believe... Correct, though, unless you're looking for the elvish name Undomiel?

Took me weeks to figure out how to join this forum. I didn't realize they were blocking Yahoo mail.

Okay, apparently you were looking for elvish name... so, Undomiel, means Evenstar or Evening Star, for the reasons cited in above post "The evening star was the light of the last Silmaril, bound to the brow of her grandfather Eärendil". Is that cheating? 🙂

Probably not. I wasn't expecting anyone to give me a translated (not Elvish) name and this smacked of quick and dirty Googling. You're the 1st one with a complete answer. Not many takers this time around though. Check your PM.

Taken off FAQ list:
AOL

Gotoworld
Hotmail
Nightmail
Whitehouse
Yahoo
All domains operated by portofevil.com, aka evilemail.com

Seems to be most of the major email services...

Thank you very much for the invite! 🙂

They don't block Netscape (the free email you get from AIM if yer not an AOL'er)
hmmm.... I wonder if they will block Gmail when it goes public? 😛

Arwen

In elvish the ar means "royal" and wen typically means "maiden"

So in elvish her name translates to royal maiden. This would be because she is the daughter of Lord Elrond ruler of the elves.

The elvish translation of her name would be Undomiel "Evenstar" as she was the evenstar of her people.
Arwen's beauty was compared to that of Luthien, and like Luthien, Arwen chose to forsake her immortality for the love of a mortal Man
Her choice led to the reuniting of the kindgom and the dawn of a new era

.56? I would think the person who is selling this on eBay just LOST money. Isn't the posting fee itself like, $1.50?
