I think it was around 1 or 2 weeks. And I only got 1 invite so far. We'll see what happens.

Hey rossmc, any luck/links ? Not wannabe; just lived in the US for awhile, and am from Newfoundland originally. Moving to Calgary now, your neck of the woods.
Election day today in Canada. Yay ! Marijuana Party gets my vote if it's on the ballot !

A darn newfie?! Oh well, someone has to live out there I suppose!;-) I'm in the Toronto area now myself, but hopefully going back to BC in the next few months. Calgary is too cold for my bones too!

Yup on the link-luck. Snipersheeps asked a skill testing question ((The tombstone of JRR Tolkien and his wife bear certain inscriptions. What's the 2nd name of the Tolkien's character whose name is on his wife's tombstone, and what does it mean.)) and somehow I managed to figure out the answer in time to receive my 'coolness' code for a gmail acct! Now I'm busy trying to use the acct a lot with the hope that it'll speed up my receipt of invites to pass along... cross your fingers!

(ps: I got yah on the marijuana party thingy, but consider going for the Fiberals - at least they'll spend our money on useless things, rather than the scary Conservatives on spookey things.... The options in my neck of the woods are sad... you'd think there would be better candidates at the center of the universe!)

Don't worry about it. I got three invites in one day but no more since.
 
I still haven't been able to get mine to work. The error I get when I try to log in is:
Server Error

Gmail is temporarily unavailable. Cross your fingers and try again in a few minutes. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

However, its not a configuration with my browser/system because I can log in to my friend's gmail. I've looked all over google and it seems that some people are getting this error intermittently but I am getting it 24/7 :/
