uncharted is going to be sick, while i know that trailer was 100% prerendered from the in-game engine, i hope the engine looks as good with all that shit moving around.

crackdown - definitely excited to see where it is going. don't really care for the trailer though since i'm sure it is all cgi. just excited a new one is coming.

Agreed on CoD, Evolve, Forza Horizon 2, and Halo. I left the ones I disagree with in quotes...

Unity: I thought it looked like a better-paced game. The combat and climbing seemed faster, in the best way. That, and the thought of co-op is sweet. Now, I just need a collection to play Brotherhood-Black Flag.

Dragon Age: I don't see why I'd pick it over Mordor or Witcher. They all seem comparable, in terms of being third-person RPG games (something I'm not big on), and when in-doubt, I just pick the non-EA solution. Since I never played the first two Witcher titles, that would have Mordor the default winner.

Ori: Look, an artsy-farsty platformer. Those aren't EVERYWHERE on Steam. Yawn.

Tomb Raider: No real opinion. They gave no info, and I never played the newest, which I might get on the One during a sale.

Witcher 3: The combat looked fluid, just a little clunky on the animations side. It actually is a cool-looking game, I just couldn't ever bring myself to play the other games.

The Division: I think the issue is having idiots play it. I mean, their communication sounds like they are reading cue cards as they play, and it looks like they're playing while trying to read them as well, haha. They move slowly, likely to show off the world (which looks great). I think that in a real setting, the game is faster-paced and MUCH better. I'm dying to get this game.

Scalebound: I'm curious to see what it is, though I agree that the trailer offers no insight as to what it is.

Crackdown: Looks cool, but never played the others, and I'm not one to really jump in mid-series (only did it with DMC4, nothing else). As such, likely going to pass.
 
Honestly, there's not a lot here that's really pulled me in other than Grim Fandango. Big fat disappointment on the Vita department. Sony has basically abandoned making exclusive games for the systems.

That's the problem. Feels like a big F-U to long time supporters of the platform. They might as well just discontinue it at this point if they're not going to make an effort. The reason it's tanking because there are so few exclusive games. Nobody really wants to play a gimped version of Borderlands, et al.

Well, hopefully Nintendo has something good for tomorrow. Their presentation is supposed to be at 11:30am ET.
 
yeah the sony presser was their worst in years imo. none of the games i was hoping to hear about were announced. i mean we all knew uncharted was going to have a tease, but nothing about new resistance, ratchet and clank (i dont count a remake), jak and daxter, hot shots golf, or god of war. im curious about no man's sky though, i'll pay some attention to that. and i think the order has great potential.

Don't care about Nintendo unless they have a new Zelda or Metroid for WiiU. I'll be buying lots of games this fall anyway.

I also bought a Vita at launch and purchased many of the games they later released free on PSN+. I feel ripped off lol.

Oh and Rockstar posted a video that GTA5 will be on XB1 and PC at the same time this fall.

Out of curiosity, why are you good with the Halo remake, but not Ratchet & Clank?

because its 4 games that all have online modes with a vast multiplayer experience as well as co-op. i am not big time excited for the halo stuff at all, i just think it's a good idea that will sell very well.

ratchet and clank isn't even close to the level of halo is as far as it's popularity, and it doesn't have any kind of multiplayer following like halo did.

and i also know there is a halo 5 coming out in 2015, where as this remake isn't even coming out until 2015.

Console gaming is in a weird transitional period. Most systems don't really have many notable games in their first year. It was a terrible presser though, especially when compared to last year. Microsoft's wasn't that exciting either. EA and Ubisoft had some interesting stuff in the works. Though I don't know how stoked I am for another Assassin's Creed. Mirror's Edge might be interesting as I really enjoyed the original. We'll have to see how that pans out.

Kotaku just tweeted that GTA V is indeed coming out for PC and Xbox One as well. So there.
 
Alright. Nintendo is up next.

I really, really, really want an excuse to buy one. A dark adult Zelda? A horror inspired Metroid? Something not cartoony.

True but for the right price I might be persuaded to get it on PS4 to revisit.

There's like 8 games I'll be buying between September and December this year (waiting reviews on a couple of them)so I don't have time to think about that. My wallet will hurt.

Yeah Rockstar posted a video on youtube and said that the footage and announcement were on PS4 but it will be on PC and XB1 at the same time.
 
Nintendo pretty much has to announce a Zelda game, or at least something substantial. The Wii U has a distinct lack of really deep games. They have to up their game this year, especially since their two rivals have kinda fallen flat.

Not sure if I necessarily want a "dark" Zelda. Maybe if it's done right. Majora's Mask was excellent but didn't stray too far from the original formula.

Of course I'm hoping the 3DS gets some goodies too, since I actually own that system. I now SSB is coming out for it. I think Bravely Default is also getting a sequel.

Yep Bravely Second...this has been known to anyone who found the video in the first game.

I don't think Sony or MS have falled flat at all. I don't remember the last time I was planning to buy 8 games due solely to their presentation of those games at their respective E3 shows.
 
Ratchet and clank is cool I haven't played that in a long time so I'll get it. Would have liked to see God of war or maybe a game like shadow of colossos.

I'm going to try the Destiny beta if I get in and I plan on trading in ps3 edition of last of us for the ps4 one.

Uncharted, far cry 4, the order, batman I'll definately buy too. If Nintendo has something good I'll think about it.
