I heard Giulani was flat-out lying about Kerry's performance but that Jon was putting the smackdown on him.

Yeah...good old Rudy was out and out lying about what Kerry said. It wasn't a performance issue, or an opinion kind of thing. Rudy flat out said that Kerry said Iraq as a whole was a mistake. Jon Stewart kept saying that what Kerry had actually said was that Bush went about it the wrong way...not that the concept of our mission in Iraq was a mistake.

I was actually surprised at the level of crap coming from the Republican camp so soon after the debate...I had heard what Kerry said not 15 minutes before...and here's our "national hero mayor" lying right to the camera. Stewart kept calling him on it, but Rudy stubbornly stuck to his crap. It was honestly unbelievable.

When did Giulani go off the deep end? He is like a swarmy versio of Zell Miller. He was making up stuff and spinning so hard I was dizzy. People would elect him to another office?

No kidding, I was surprised Giulani spoke so poorly and pretty much flat-out lied about what Kerry said.

"What about Poland?"

:D

The Stewart/ Giuliani part was THE BEST! Jon was shutting him down so hard it was hilarious, you could almost see Rudy grimace as he knew all he could do was repeat the bull and continue to get reamed for it.
I really want to download that episode. Jon's parting words have come true too.

I have a video cap of the whole episode. Tell me how you want it encoded and where to upload it, and I'll do it.

You're right nutxo, that exchange between Jon and Rudy was one big lie. Rudy would never downplay stupidity and then distort a 10min old. speech only to get his ass handed to him by a bright commentator, and certainly not on national TV! It just wouldn't happen.
