how did you find that page?

I deciphered their model numbers:

X6800 = N82E16819115001
E6700 = N82E16819115002
E6600 = N82E16819115003
E6400 = N82E16819115004
E6300 = N82E16819115005

...and then plugged those into the URL's by hand...though try not to tell anyone until I get my E6600.

good call. You can get them by searching e6700 now, but that trick probably bought you 5-10mins in front of everyone...

They're still listed as out of stock. Is that because people already bought them all, or because they don't have them yet?

X6800 page is there now too, going for $1159, though like the E6600, it is listed as out of stock.

I guess I have to find another store to buy my Conroe. :(

Nice Some1ne. Edit: Beaten by like 5 people...
I just bit the bullet and bought the e6700. I figured since I was about to pay 480+ to have the e6600, I might as well get the 6700 for abit more from a reputable (well up until this) seller.

I just ordered from www.buy.com. I've bought from them before and they are decent. It has an ETA 1 week to 2 weeks. But at least the price is reasonable and you can actually order it! You may be able to find a coupon to get $10 to $15 discount, but I couldn't get a coupon to work with this item. overnight shipping is OK for $18.

I still have to pay tax with buy.com.:D Plus I have a bad experience from them! They gave my credit card info to some greatfun blah blah ad company and they sent me some funky bills for 3 months.

Is there any other nontaxable and trustable online retailer?

Let me take it back. The recent resellerrating for buy.com has been crap. I canceled my order. Back to square one.

I have a certain level of patience, but the thing is I have every other part for my new PC, save for the CPU + mobo. I ordered them all over the past couple of weeks, thinking for sure the Conroes would become availible soon. Not only is it incredibly difficult to look at the parts laying there, completely useless and yearing for me to piece them together, but as each day passes, I'm afraid I'll have a harder time making returns should something fail to work.

I hate paper launches...

You may have noticed the ETA on the website has changed. This is an estimate for all pre-orders to be fulfilled and is not indicative of the exact day your order will ship. We will be shipping on a first come, first serve basis so please do not be alarmed. Currently, we expect our first shipment to arrive the week of the 21st. If this changes, we will email you directly. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reply to this email. Please include your order number in all correspondence so we can better assist you.

Thank you,

Monarch Computer

What a bunch of crap! Don't tell me the 7th on the website (with a forced bundle no less) then send out an email saying you're getting the first shipment on the 21st. WTF!!! I'm taking my $800+ dollars (motherboard, CPU, and RAM) and going elsewhere.
Hope you get your money back quickly. I have an open case with them for almost 2 months now.

This is EXACTLY the way I feel and I got in late on the game. I've only had my stuff for 5 days and it's bugging the hell out of me just watching it sit there. This is going to be my first build and the anticipation is freakin' killing me.

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to get a 805D and the ASRock 775Dual-VSTA just to tide me over until the nForce 500's come out along with the E6600's?

There were several people saying that 6600 and 6700 and even the 6300 and 6400 would not be widely available until late sept. Did anybody here listen ? Not trying to be a butt, but you have to expect this from Intel on their new launches.

No. Isn't 805 still around $110 at least? Might as well get an E6300 from ZZF for $219 then you at least get to play with Conroe and if you're not satisfied with it you'll sell it for better value. Once you have an E6300 or an E6400, you might even feel more relaxed and would be less prone to jump in a bad deal on E6600/E6700. :D

I have everything totally put together, except the processor.

When you search for Conroe, you get 5 results under 'intel', but only three actually show up as items below all the options. Those three show as in stock. The other 2 (the E6600 and X6800) show as out of stock.... hrm. It obviously isn't working properly quite yet, perhaps they other two just haven't been updated yet.

Wow, they sold at $640. That's exactly twice what I was hoping to pay for my E6600 and a slightly faster chip that overclocks to the same speeds sold out at twice the price...not looking good.

I want to know if the E6600 and the X6800 will be coming in tonight... I'm starting to twitch.

An ETA was added on the X6800 of 8/9. No news yet on the E6600.

And yes, the E6700 is out of stock on newegg now, so I guess at least some people are buying. That, or they only had like 1 chip.
