My apologies if this has already been posted, but this story provoked a heartfelt "what the fuck is wrong with you, America?" from me:

It's as if misogyny and plutocracy are competing to find which is the dominant American value. Which kind of dystopia is the country aiming for?

Wait until they find out that something like ~25% of pregnancies terminate naturally. Their god is the biggest abortionist in the world.
Oh it’s worse than that. It starts at 15% for teen parents and scales all the way to 85% for parents in their 40’s. A lot of folks are having kids later which means more miscarriages/spontaneous abortions.

It occurs to me that middle aged conservative Catholics would be prime for this, (no birth control, be fruitful etc). They would just be miscarrying all through their 40’s.

However we know why the real decision to prosecute will be made. <Insert Family Guy Ok/Not Ok meme>

The gross part is i can totally see GOP citing this data as a reason to lower the age of consent.

Anyways, this thread os essentially about attacks on women, so ill leave this here:

Reporting in.
Yet another woman where pregnancy is a life threatening condition (due to prior injuries), but the government has outlawed life saving medical care.
Now it takes an underground network to save her life. And the lives of so many others.

From Reddit:

my friend is being made to keep her baby even though it will eventually injure and kill her

i live in a red state (Louisiana), and I am having a lot of trouble coping with the fact that half of the country is okay with this. Female suffering. Her spine is fused, her cervix is deviated, and carrying a baby can easily cause her spine to break during the pregnancy, and because her cervix and uterus is damaged from child sexual abuse, giving birth to term will kill her and make her bleed out completely. But because her life isn't in immediate danger NOW, no abortion will be granted until she has irreversible damage to her body. all of the doctors agree this damage will happen but they cant do anything until it does. ARE YOU KIDDING ME...... I am so disgusted and pro-birthers, you have so much suffering to answer for and I will NEVER be friends with someone who wants forced birth. Forced birth is torture.

Oh, since you bumped the thread, how about this one too?

This is the second time these fuckers have used a dead woman as an incubator for a slowly dying fetus. I’m sure it’s because we shouldn’t be playing God……

It happened in Texas like a decade ago. A court order finally put a stop to it after a month or two.

Here's one that has farther reaching implications than abortion itself.

"A Texas Cop Searched License Plate Cameras Nationwide for a Woman Who Got an Abortion

The sheriff said the woman self-administered the abortion and her family were concerned for her safety, so authorities searched through Flock cameras. Experts are still concerned that a cop in a state where abortion is illegal can search cameras in others where it's a human right.

Earlier this month authorities in Texas performed a nationwide search of more than 83,000 automatic license plate reader (ALPR) cameras while looking for a woman who they said had a self-administered abortion, including cameras in states where abortion is legal such as Washington and Illinois, according to multiple datasets obtained by 404 Media."

75 of these freakin' cameras are being installed in our little city of less than 10,000 wicked souls. The surveillance state is here. They will know everyone coming and going.

-And when AI finally gets involved, prepare for shit to be truly fucked.

Right now our only saving grace is human laziness and incompetence. A pattern recognition machine does not have that problem.
