1: I think I paid $7 for a 3# bag. That got me 5 fruits. I chose that bag over the one with 4 fruits. These things are big.

2: Wegmans. I don't think you'll find these at lower end grocerystores. These are expensive due to low output, and they have to be handled carefully. The process requires a finer touch, and that raises the cost. They're "deluxe" by necessity.

BTW, if anyone does see these and wants to try them, inspect the package first. Make sure none are bruised or mushy. They'll feel a little weird compared to a standard orange, but it should be fairly obvious if one is old or mistreated. They also come in big flats for purchase, but eat fast. The lifespan isn't long like an apple.

Because a Dekopan at its peak can attain a sweetness level of 18 degrees Brix (which is the measure of sugar content) compared to average of 11 to 13 degrees Brix in other popular varieties of citrus.

i keep buying pomelo's hoping that they are the same sweet ones you get in Mindanao and i'm always disappointed to get the shitty grapefruit tasting ones

Does anyone else think that this "S-tier" business is a bit odd? Normally, if you grade things with letters, then 'A' is the best, making 'S'... something I don't want to think about.
It gained wider popularity from video games, where some of them would use an A-F ranking system, but have an S-tier above that. It comes from the Japanese school grading system.

I'm unfamiliar. They look like grapefruit slices. That's something I'd love to have; an easy opening grapefruit. My favorite way of eating them is peeling like an orange, but they're bastards to peel. Once you've wrestled the outer skin off, you have to pick and scratch the inner membrane off, or just give up and eat it. I don't often get grapefruit cause of that.
 
Not sure if this would actually be considered fast food. I tried Slice House by Tony Gemigani today. No drive thru, and it is pizza. But it's also order at a counter and pay before you get the food. So I think technically it falls under fast food. They do whole pizzas and slices. I ordered a slice which they tossed in the oven for about 90 seconds and I had a hot, fresh slice.

They do NY, Grandma, Detroit & Sacalian. Every have a daily slice for each style and like 6 regular slices. For a chain it was really good. Huge slice with cup and char 'Ronis that had crispy edges. It had almost no flop and a nice chew but the crust was still a little crunchy. It was $6.50, but the pizzas are 20" and they cut them in 6 slices, so it was huge and pretty damn tasty. And I'm in So Calso there's nothing close to $2 slices here. They have some really interesting sounding daily slices too.

I'd say it's fast food because you can order and be out in a minute or 2. The sell whole pies too, but the prices are pretty wild. I'm probably not spending $38.50 on a 9x12 Detroit, but 1 slice for $7.50 worth it if I want some good pizza. This place wouldn't be anything special somewhere in NY. But it was a really solid NY slice, and the others looked great too. I don't see many spots that do NY and Detroit. And Sacalian & Grandma's are pretty much impossible to find in my area.
 
I've never had Papa Murphy's because there aren't any out here. A restaurant that doesn't actually cook the food is a great concept. I've heard it's pretty good too, I don't understand how these aren't everywhere.

Seems they have ~1,100 locations across 36 states... and the UAE, I guess?
Huh, looks like the UAE locations have dine-in. Interesting.

Do you have Winco Foods in your area, some locations offer pizza either take & bake or they bake it for about $1-2 more. Quality isn't the best of course, it's slightly better than Little Caesar's IMO.

Take and bake qualifies for SNAP, regular takeout pizza doesn’t. Papa Murphy figured it out. Their pizza is pretty good too.

I buy Sumos at Vons/Albertsons in L.A. Sometimes on sale for $2/lb. Reg. price is $4/lb: too much for Ferengis. 😛
Big ones are about 3/4 lb, but a lot of the volume is rind.

My sister buys them at Costco, although these boxed ones seem smaller to me.
