So.... what's the chances that should democrats win Georgia and take the senate, that Mitch McConnell announces his resignation from the senate? Wouldn't that be lovely?

That would bring treats of joy to a lot of people. Mitch has single handedly screwed this country so much

Never came close?

What if the EC votes count was closer? What if it came down to one state?

Also if Republicans controlled the House, this coming objection would just need a simple majority in both chambers to nullify the election results.

And if all that wasn't bad enough... almost half of America supports this....WANTS this. Do you really think these lawmakers would be acting this way if they didn't think it's what their voters wanted? That's probably the most heartbreaking part of all of this.

All of these are valid points.

Dupe enough people, and the government falls.

They've got damn near half the country fully believing this bullshit.
The people are the government. Th structure is nothing more than mutually agreed upon rules.
We've nearly lost the mutual part.

All of this is such a huge insult not only to the democracy but to every American who takes part in democracy. So the republican thinking is.... republicans win elections and democrats steal elections? If this were a poker game, someone would be shot for legitimately losing but refusing to pay up. This republican BS has went on long enough and after president Biden is seated, every republican house member and senate member that took part should be arrested and held accountable. I know Joe Biden likes to be known as the nice guy, but he needs to come down hard on not only every republican that took part but on Donald Trump as well. If it takes some sort executive order(s) to hold these guys accountable then bring on the executive orders, Joe. And in the house, democrats could and had better begin a whole shit load of investigations to investigate each and every one of these traitors. This type of behavior can not be treated as just another OH-WELL.

Not Biden's responsibility. Pelosi could censure these 140 house members though.

It’s more projection. Republicans know they would steal the election if they could and so they assume Democrats are just as corrupt as they are.

Lin Wood is throwing around insinuations that Chief Justice Roberts murdered Justice Scalia, and is a member of a pedophile cult.

Trumpist Lawyer Lin Wood Goes on Unhinged Rant Suggesting Justice John Roberts Is a Murderous Pedophile

The inmates are truly running the asylum. As I understand it, Roberts cannot sue Wood, but Wood should be disbarred for this bullshit.

holy shit, that guy yeah...unconscionable to allow him to practice law, ever again (in this country, anyway. he might be joining Trumper in Old Rus)

And so far 3 million votes cast in Georgia, ahead of Tuesday's election.

Crazy numbers.

Oh man, are all state SoS/BoE websites this awesome?

It just insta-downloads these great spreadsheets, already properly organized to generate some quick figures in R if you need to.

THE DATA!

this is pretty cool.

Just in case anyone was wondering, Yes there are still lawsuits pending to try and overturn the election. Four just got withdrawn in Georgia yesterday.

Trump legal team pulls four Georgia lawsuits aimed at overturning Biden win (msn.com)

I love the way the Trump attorney who withdrew the suits then posts false statements saying they were withdrawn because of a "settlement offer" when none actually exists. Gotta put that ol' negative is really a positive Trump spin on it!

Spin:
Hilbert also claimed that there is "a settlement offer" in place for the state to hand over more election information. However, Raffensperger's office said no such offer is on the table, and there are no court records to support Hilbert's claim.

"I am pleased we were able to resolve all litigation disputes in this manner for the good of the part and the nation," Hilbert wrote in a letter attached to his notice to dismiss the cases. "GOD BLESS AMERICA."

Reality:
Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who was named as a defendant in the lawsuits, believed the decision to drop the lawsuits was made so that Trump's team wouldn't have to submit evidence before the court that could be easily challenged during cross-examination.

Was the settlement "drop this crap and we won't charge you with sedition"?
