Well, not all of us can be perfect like you...after all, you never went over the speed limit, you never jaywalked and you most certainly never loitered or stepped on the grass where there were signs indicating you shouldn't.

Too bad I'm always busy on 4/20 at 4:20, be it exams or work :\

Auspiciously enough :)P), my little sister was born on 4/20/1999, also the same day as Columbine.

I will, eventually. But until then, I'll continue to light up and enjoy it :)

At least kill the rationalization. Just because nobody else is perfect doesn't mean that it's okay for you to break the law.

Yes, because we should all follow the law to the letter and be good little shee- er, citizens.

Ever think that maybe the laws can or should be changed? No?

Well, they can. And perhaps they should.

Remember that alcohol used to be against the law. How about them beans? You drink? Yes?

How would you feel if it were suddenly against the law? Upset much? Maybe feel like your rights are being trampled on?

Yeah. Think about it.

Yeah. Think about it.

No, I don't drink. However, laws are made for a reason. Prohibition lasted how long? We know it was a bad idea. Laws against cannabis have been around much longer. They're probably right. I personally think that cannabis, and for that matter, any state-of-mind altering substance is not something that should be used recreationally. Does that include alcohol? Perhaps. Lots of people can drink alcohol responsibly and be fine. Lots of children are also killed by drunk drivers.
The problem is with the lack of personal responsiblity. Lots of studies have been made into alcohol, and lawmakers have deemed it acceptable. Yes, lawmakers for the most part are morons. They're the best we're going to get. In the meantime, I'm going to follow the law. The law exists to protect this country and the people in it. I partake of the freedoms I get by being a US citizen with great joy, and breaking an established law is just wrong. You're taking something, your freedom, and not following the rules that go along with enjoying that.
If you think that cannabis should be in the same class as alcohol, great. You must realize that there are lots of people that disagree with you. And lots that agree. What matters is that nobody has come up with a good reason for the lawmakers of this country to repeal the laws banning the use of cannbis, but laws banning the use of alcohol have been repealed. That alone is proof that the is a difference.
So you want change, you want cannbis legalized? Okay, maybe not, but I'll assume so for the sake of argument. If you do, then go and do something about it. I'm going to venture a guess that most people who use cannabis haven't done anything substantial or meaningful, like writing a letter to their congressman. Now, what I'm about to say can be taken many ways, but please try to interpret it the spirit that I mean it. Perhaps it's just the stereotype speaking, but your average user of cannabis is not exactly an upstanding example of personal success. Yes, there are lots of counterexamples, and I'm sure that you're one of them. Whatever. Maybe there's more than correlation between 'Cannabis users are not shining examples of upright citizenship' and 'Cannabis is bad enough that it should not be used recreationally'.

That reply makes no sense at all... I think you should stop smoking the crack, it's really messing with your higher functions.
