I've been watching The Office and just finished season 3 last night. Love the show!

Anyway, are there people in your office that are like the people in The Office?

I think my boss is sort of like a cross between Michael, Dwight, and Creed, with maybe a little Kelly mixed in.

He's not as bad as those characters are, but he definitely has similar traits as they do.

This guy I know has a Michael kinda boss to a T. It's funny all of his co-workers call the boss "Michael" behind his back.

Hate to say it, but I'm probably Dwight. The nerd of the group, obsessed with performance, wants the boss' job. :)

They say if you don't know at least one Michael Scott, you ARE Michael Scott.

When I think of Dwight, I don't think he really wants Michael's job at all, mostly I think he wants to be the kiss-up second in command.

I never watched that show before for some reason. I watched a few episodes and got hooked. Bought all 3 seasons and watched em back to back.

I watched the pilot and didn't like it then. I just watched part of another episode online at nbc.com and still don't like it. The delivery is just not there although the premise is good.

I think I'm what Dwight would be if he had years of pot and alchohol abuse to mellow him out ;) I'm big into wanting everyone to perform their best 110% of the time, probably even moreso than my boss is, but I was in charge for 2 weeks and totally didn't go on a power trip. lol.

my workplace environment isn't really comparable to a typical office, though... I mean, my department is 10 20-something year-old guys. there's really a minimal amount of drama that would ever be created.

I can't stop watching it. I can't wait to get home and watch more episodes!

ok, this whole thing of me not liking anything is so not true. I like tons of things. isn't there a saying that goes something like this:

people who don't like something will complain more than people who do, because the people who do like it are spending their time with said thing instead of complaining.

I DO NOT HATE EVERYTHING!
I JUST HATE ATOTERS! :p

He goes after Michael's job in one of the episodes... arranges a meeting with the boss and says he could do the job better.

have you watched any of this season's The Office? unfortunately there have only been a few episodes due to the writer's strike, but the episode where Pam and Jim stay at Shrute Farms for a night is really really a good one. (thanks in large part to cousin Moze)

I'm a big fan too ... thought I was getting some of the DVDs for Christmas, but didn't :( Will have to find them on my own. If you al haven't seen the British version (which inspired the American one), it is definitely worth a watch too.

Oh, and if there were a truly bitter, sarcastic, overweight, diabetic Asian IT guy, I could account for nearly all the characters in my office. As for me, I'm more towards the Jim end of the scale ... pranks and jokes, but a good worker. My bosses boss is remarkably similar to Dunder Mifflin's CEO :D

I have to get back to watching the office, I'm still stuck on the first few episodes of season 3.

I was really disappointed with the Beach Party episode. Pam and Karen in swimsuits (pam even mentions she's wearing a 2 piece) and we get to see nothing! wtf was that all about?
