Skoorb actually "enjoys" mowing the lawn...or at least he does it without complaint. I think it must be the new lawn mower and trimmer that is doing it for him. I then do the edging and general gardening. When we first moved in, we were constantly puttering around outside looking for little things to do. Of course, we spent a whole lot of time in Home Depot and are now trying to avoid that place because it begs us to spend money!

Our next project is installing a home gym in half of our garage. We have some things ordered and I believe Skoorbie was ordering the rest lunch time today! Yaye! I hate going to the gym...working out in my own home is going to be awesome. Bring on the muscles baby! 😀

Congratulations !

Welcome to the wonderful world of home ownwership, there's nothing like having the power to throw people of your property 😀

Congrats! We closed on our house at the end of June, and it feels great to be a homeowner

i still hate mowing the grass even though it takes 10 minutes w/ a push mower (lot is .14 acres)

Yup, it seems that we never offically posted that we built and bought a house recently....somehow we missed that one!

Well, we did! The Skoorb's became first time homeowners on June 27th, 2003 of a lovely three bedroom, two bathroom, two garage house built just for us! We love it and although it remains a little empty, we are very much "at home"....

Just thought I would let everyone know!

MrsSkoorb, homeowner. 😀

Sounds cool where is the :camera:

You'll enjoy having a gym in your own home. Just be careful you don't become too complacent. For some reason, I find it easier to shrug off a workout in my own home than I did when I was 'going out' to the gym back in college. However, I still use mine regularly and just finished retooling my own basement office/gym.

And you can't avoid the Home Depot no matter how hard you try. You see it every day on the way home like a beautiful orange siren beckoning you to come spend your hard-earned money on lamps and fertilizer.

I won't become too complacent...I at least I hope not! It should all arrive on Saturday which makes me very happy. 🙂

Home Depot = nasty addiction! 😛

I kinda had it figured out because Skoorb was referencing in a couple threads about the new house so I assumed you either bought or built a new house. Congrats!
