The noise generated from a 747 taking off is deafening...

Ok..so I was near SFO airport and waiting on the Red light to Take 101-North.
From this stop light, you can clearly see one of the main runway at SFO and can see planes landing and taking off.

So, there I was waiting and I saw a 747 on the runway. First I thought it was landing and slowing down but actually it was gaining speed to take off. So it happened that the plane took off and flew directly over my car (I could see the complete underbody of it).

It was probably less than 200ft from me when it passed me and the noise it made was deafening. My ears almost hurt there for a second or so.

Edit: Judging from a dB list I found on wiki, standing 100ft from a jet take off is 150db. You can go from there I suppose, but yes, that's one of the loudest things one can experience I think.
