Ok i'll try to keep it short. I'm buying a 3500+ in the next week or so, and I'm wanting a great mobo to pair with it. I've narrowed it down to the 2 who are consistantly the best, the Gigabyte GA-K8N and the MSI K8N Neo2 Plat. Both get awesome reviews, but I can't find any direct comparasions really. Right now, if i buy the gigabyte, I get free farcry, but if i got the MSI I could buy farcry with the money I saved, so this issue is irrevelant. The price is my primary deterrance from the gigabyte, but its not more than I can afford to spend. The big problem with the MSI is its not out yet. It's supposed to come out next week sometime.

Does anyone know if the MSI is coming out for sure next week?

Which board would you buy?

I have the Gigabyte (bought at newegg) with a 3800+ and it's awesome. I like all the features they offer. I don't think you could go wrong with either... go ahead and get far cry for free :p

Yes but they also gave the original k8n-neo platinum the editors choice. Problem with a review when quality control is involved is they get 1 board, test it thoroughly and if it works they give it a high score, that doesn?t mean that every or even most of the boards sold will actually work like that one review model. I would not be shocked if for the 754 board their is an update at some point removing the editors choice based on the complaints on this board and on msi's own forums.

the MSI isn't really out yet...is it., you might have difficulty getting one for next week....
The gigabyte on the other hand can be brought now but it cost quite alot.
