Looks like WFT defensive line could be what some people are saying they could be on paper. We'll see though because Eagles were so banged up I just hope that wasn't the only reason. Either way, 8 sacks in one game isn't easy to come by, especially for a team like the WFT in the past.

Chase Young looks to be the real deal. Dude had 3 sacks, 2 of them including strip sacks. And it's no surprise Kerrigan comes out and has one of the best games he's had in years now that he has help and can also rest, coming in with fresh legs.

I just realized I may need to change my avatar after all these years. Not the facepalm part, but because of the Redskins part.

Yeah, that line looked really great...Secondary got burned a couple of times, though. ...but I agree, Eagles have one of the worst OL lines over the last several years, but either way, that's a good boost for those guys and I'm sure they feel like they are legit.

Took a long time for Haskins to get comfortable and adjust, but he did. Kinda like last year, it was always "well, maybe he'll get there?" I'm glad Smith is still there, even if he never plays again.

Yeah Haskins clearly was rattled/nervous early on and he kind of got his footing. He's far from finished and needs a bit of work still, but the more he plays the more he should improve. And this is all without preseason too so this is the first live action.

As for the secondary, their #1 corner is out with Fuller so we have to keep that in mind too. And in reality they really just gave up 2 big plays. Which were pretty big obviously, but other than those 2 big plays, they played pretty decently. I'm not surprised though that the secondary started to look decent once the pass rush started to work lol.

In past years, these are the kinds of games WFT would have blown. Like if they had this huge advantage where the oline of the Eagles is in shambles, it would previously been a 0 sack game and the makeshift line would have looked like a pro bowl line. Had Gruden still been the coach, this team would have never won yesterday down 17-0. They would have probably lose 42-0.

i gave up after the Stafford int, it was a typical Patricia game, yet another total 4th quarter collapse (11 now in 33 games of Patricia i believe)
I mean that is more of a Lions tradition than a Patricia thing. I'll throw in a caveat that I have stopped watching because the 1-3 quarters the Lions remember how to football gives me hope which is inevitably crushed by spectacular implosions of skill and basic thinking

Niners played like crap on all sides of the ball. Jimmy G just looked scared and had no confidence. BUT we don't have any receivers either. Still though. No containment and AZ just made plays when it counted. I knew it'd be a tough matchup and now were last in the division lol. Our schedule is favorable for the next 5 weeks, but they aren't division games IIRC. Need to work out some serious kinks and get our receivers back.

Yea I felt like they looked like crap on both sides as well. Face palmed on the play they left DHop uncovered for a 1st down, ugh. I feel like both lines are under performing big time.

Jimmy G is a JAG who is highly overrated.

I'll be watching the G-Men tonight. Not expecting much. New rookie head coach with the shortened training camps and lack of pre-season is a recipe for disaster.

LOL i stopped watching Fins games about 15 years ago. Frees up time and I don't have to be pissed off.

No kidding. After Marino and Shula retired, I think I can count the number of playoff game the Fins won in one hand. I thought Brady was no longer with the Pats, and Fins could do something about its fortune this season. Nope.

Newton is pretty good and he'll most likely listen to Belichick too. Unless the Bills are considerably better then I'm expecting them to be this season I think the Pats will win the AFC East again although I doubt they'll go far in the playoffs.

And after watching the Saints roll yesterday I think Tampa is going nowhere. Jamis may not have been the answer but Brady really was showing his age in the 2ed half.

lol that you think Brady mattered that much in the Bellichick team.

Exactly ... Belichick needs a solid QB to win consistently like any NFL coach but it certainly doesn't need to be Brady.

Of course Brady is a shell of his former self these days.

NFL sportsballing is happening again this week, too. ...some great games so far today.

Wilson looking great, again, aside from the one bullshit pick-6 that wasn't really his fault at all. 😡

...ball could have been a wee bit lower, but pro TE like Olson should catch that ball 98% of the time.

Yea, that will go down as an INT on Wilson's stats but if you watched the game it was a poor attempt
to catch a properly thrown ball. Wilson is throwing better than anyone right now, he has 9 TD's and
11 incomplete so far this season, that's juist sick!. Another good game for Cam, he's setting up for a huge contract somewhere next season. Didn't agree with that play call on the 1 with 3 seconds left though, the entire Seattle defense was keying on the QB keeper and Cam didn't even make it to the LOS and several Hawk's were there waiting.
If it was me calling it I'd call a direct snap to a RB and use Cam as the ultimate decoy.
In other news how the hell do the Falcons sit and watch that onside kick just sit there and spin without diving on it?.

I see MNF will be shown on ABC tonight. Wonder what got into them?

General desperation for live sportsballing now...and maybe the debut of the Raiders' Las Vegas stadium (not that anyone really cares, I think). ....ridiculous that the Raiders didn't go to LA if the move was truly inevitable. They have a much bigger fan base there than either the Rams or Chargers.
