The next generation of people that will inhabit Earth ...

Are increasingly ... selfish? Impatient? Self-absorbed?

Surprising? Not really.

Just saw this article on Yahoo and clicked it (nothing better to do).

This is called human evolution, LOL. Chasing self absorbed ambitions with no regard for anyone else.

Any of you watch the movie Wall-E? I think that's where we're headed though it may look a little different. This is called progress.

I think patience is literally out the window now. No one has it. The X, Y, Z generations - none. It's not going to get better with these kids getting older.

In a selfish world, the future is all about me, me, me, me, me, me.

Hold on while I fix me a snack ...

sure. and those types will always be around, always have been.

but there there's those to be proud of and lauded as well. the pioneers, trailblazers, those willing to sacrifice themselves to go on a guaranteed one-way trip with no chance of return just to say "i had sex on Mars, bitches."

I was expecting a scientific study. What I got was some asshat ranting about the "the way things used to be".

Next generation of humans will be hunch backed due to phones and tablets...they will also have larger livers.

Wait what? Skeptical about the human race and where it is headed? Say it isn't so!! 😛

LOL, lets not even worry about the next generation. This generation of people are so messed up, me included, that we've got out hands full. But people are delusional - they think that progress in science translates into human decency and a better way of living. It does not. We've been led to believe that science is the ultimate cure for all things. With the way we currently are and where we're headed, I doubt it. (Please don't bring religion into this).

But most people are content with the way things are so I guess it will continue. We are happy with our little gadgets and toys and we want even faster gadgets and toys. This is called progress.

People have always thought that, and such people have always been misinformed and/or idiots. Science is a goal-less process, like evolution.

The way things used to be? I might be an asshat (thank you) but you got that part wrong.

So a scientific study will convince you about how the next generation of humans are going to be?

Thanks for your contribution, however. Have a nice day.

It's pretty obvious he was referring to your link.

But you're right... It is
...all about me, me, me, me, me, me.

Meh. I'm 32 and the new generation seems fine. I've met plenty of them who are intelligent and motivated. They will, or already do, have their own stupid customs and things which seem utterly ridiculous to people in my generation. We already mess with them about not getting cultural references and they just sit and smile like I did at 22 when I didn't get stuff the 32 year old people were saying.

In other words: humanity will be okay.

Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders and love chatter in place of exercise; they no longer rise when elders enter the room; they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers.
