"Hot" Cheetos used to be hot back in the late 90s when I was coming up.. They were also .25/bag. Im talking about the little bags.

Same. Used to have them every day. They were fucking amazing. When I was in high school they banned all regular chips and had the "baked" alternatives. They didnt compare to the original though.

lol hilarious how schools are turning so dictatorship these days. No peanut butter jelly sandwiches, some have banned pop, now cheetos lol. Some even ban bringing your own lunch and you have to eat what they provde. So much for a free country huh.

I'll have to try these, if it's ban worthy then they must be THAT good.

Though, it's one thing when it's schools banning something, what really makes me laugh is when the whole country bans something, like Kinder Surprises and Bucky Balls. LOL. I'm still jarring out over that one. Every time I see Kinder Surprises at Walmart in the impulse buy section at the cash I always laugh inside realizing those are actually illegal somewhere.

The same schools that are serving greasy pizza, burgers, and fries and call it a "nutritionally balanced" lunch.

Yup. I used to call out the administration about how ironic it was that chips and sodas were banned but we'd have some shitty pizza that was greased up and half cooked and soggy ass burgers covered in burned cheese with no veggies. They basically told me they had no control and its the district that does all the food purchasing. Awesome. Glad Im out of that system.

Man, I can't read news anymore about public schools. It's all depressing.

Although, I could swallow that the reason for the ban is that they are messy. Directing everyone's diet though is hideous.

Those are awesome with a turkey sandwich with Swiss cheese tomato and miracle whip.

yay for nanny states! i prefer the jalapeno cheetos . . .

Yes, the jalapeno cheetos are good.

Also love Sabritones, the store down the street gets a lot of construction worker traffic and always has those in stock.

When I clicked on this topic, I figured it was a story about kids crushing up cheetos and snorting them. But instead it's just a story about kids liking cheetos. Why just the flaming hot cheetos though? Pretty much any chip or cheese puffs are going to have a decent chunk of sodium and fat, so why just ban those?

It's just stupid policy by school administrators who think they always know whats best for the kids.

LOL @ banning Cheetos. Regular soda and candy in the kids' lunches is still fine though I'm sure.

I bought some of these. They're okay, but I kind of miss the ridiculous cheesiness of normal Cheetos. All I can really taste is the crushed peppers used to give them the flaming-ness.

I would hope that the parents put up some resistance to this idiocy. Also, I hope that the school runs PE, actual PE, as a required course every semester to graduate.

Lastly, speaking as an adult, if any school I attended told me what I could and couldn't pack in my lunch, I'd tell them to fvck off. There's be fisticuffs if they attempted to confiscate my food.
