Throw Kerry the same question without him knowing what is coming and see what he says.

I don't say this to defend Bush, I just like equilibrium.

Agreed.

Kinda like:

I actually voted FOR the war, before I voted AGAINST it?

They both suck.

LOL, yeah. Lesser of two evils. We need a strong third party to shake things up.

Unfortunately Nader's group isn't ging to be it. I think it's time to restart the Federalist party.

I think your average American would have BS'd the answer better than that😉

As much as this may not be intended to be a political thread, bashing Bush because of his lack of public speaking ability is sure to bring on a political flame fest.

Sure, it sounded awkward, but it is a pretty accurate answer.

Of course, I guess that really would depend on what your definition of the word "is" is.

Gotta like this line too:

This is a dangerous time. I wish it wasn't this way. Now, I wish I wasn't the war president. Who in the heck wants to be a war president?

What's wrong with that comment? Sounds reasonable to me.

*spits out bait*

If you don't think it's humorous that's fine 😉

Bush = dumb because he's not a good public speaker

then

Stephen Hawking = Retarded

Stephen Hawkings can speak in complete and coherent sentences IIRC...albeit a little slowly😉

That comparison holds no water whatsoever. Stephen Hawking is a very accomplished writer, and from what I've seen, his papers and such (presentations and what not) are well put together. He simply has a physical disability that prevents him from speaking.

Bush, on the other hand, has no such disability.

I'm of the "anyone-but" crowd, so this is just another nail in the coffin.

That is absolutely stymying.
That anyone would be 'anyone but'!
:Q

It's your right to bash the leader of your country.

Don't concern yourselves w/the fact that if Clinton was still in office, 911 would not have been an "endpoint" it would've been a "springboard." NOT that 911 wasnt' really just a continuation of BEATINGS by the Arab world b/c of the Pussifucation of the greatest nation in the world under Democratic leadership.

Oh, I'm sorry, AT. I was talking with my OUTSIDE VOICE.

/switching to inside voice

Please feel free to comment about the leadership abilities and intelligence of your President; it's your right as an Amercian Citizen.

OK there buddy...getting a bit too serious 😉

This is why Bush would be destroyed in any debate, makes sense that he avoids things like taking questions or saying something that isn't written down on card for him.

ok im actually a native american(registered with the comanches and everything) so i think i have a little more right to say this then anyone else....

FVCK THAT DUMB BITCH

Tell us how you really feel 😉

If it makes you feel any better Mike, I will gladly tear into Kerry if he gets in and I think he deserves it. I did so with Clinton.

True true...

Like the "Sensitive" war on Terror! Roar

nobody beats bush though I bet he becomes antisocial after he;s done as the pres

*sigh*

if he were anyone else, I wouldn't be laughing. But the president of the most powerful country in the world should be a little bit more educated than this.

This will be the first year I watch the debates... And... I'm going to watch them for the comedy. 🙂

He really is 🙁 , isn't he?

There's a replay of the appearance on C-SPAN right now. Look at him sweat, and say almost nothing. GWB seems to have a pretty limited vocabulary when he's answering questions without a script.
