The news. So weird how can anyone take anything seriously let alone engage in serious conversation?

Example
1) A new president that lost by some 3 million votes allowed to hijack the US Supreme Court.
2) Republicans hate Obamacare so intensely they draw up a replacement plan that is called healthcare but in reality is nothing nears healthcare. Taking away healthcare from 22 million Americans is not a healthcare plan. That is no healthcare plan. It's a joke.
If a father takes away the keys to the car from his kid, that is not the new transportation plan, that is the no-transportation plan. For the kid, the term transportation no longer applies.
3) The soviets hack an election, fingers pointing everywhere, and yet congress nor the FBI nor any American agency can do one thing about this. The dead body is there for everyone to see, the crowd witnesses the shooting, the shooter is standing there still holding the gun, yet the cops on the scene can't figure out how the poor victim died. Is this nutz?
4) Americans want clean water and clean air because they all know how deadly cancer can be, yet they rally around people that want to eliminate all clean air and water regulation. They allow a clown to head the EPA. They believe the company dumping millions of gallons of toxic waste into rivers and streams should be the poor guy that needs the protecting.

If there were indeed biblical predictions of the ending times, this must be it.
And the news.....
Man on viagra uses private parts to hold up bank teller.
Math teacher of 20 years lacks ability to calculate change for one dollar.
Space aliens invade earth in search of edible underwear.

So what is news and what is nonsense?
In todays world, how can we tell?
Do people realize they are attempting logic and serious discussion over crazy insanity?
As if the dog poops on the rug and the owner blames the carpet for getting in the dogs way.
Or dad is caught in an affair with the next door neighbor and dad explains to the wife that he came across some soon to expired lubricant that needed to be used up before the expiration date.
And the wife believes it? Really?

I've seen the movie Idiocracy, but what we are witnessing today is much worse.
You can write a crazy movie, but you can't make up this what we are witnessing today.
The residents of the insane asylum have taken over, and the professionals are locked in the rooms.
I don't get it.
Was it the JFK assassination? MLK Assassination? The Vietnam war thing? Pot? LSD? Hippies? Nixon?
Where and when exactly did it all go so terrible wrong?
How did so many people collectively lose their minds?
Could it actually be fluoride in the water after all?

If you stick to facts conversation can be had. Unfortunately you are dealing with a bunch of people who insist 2+2<>4 so where do we go from there?

This alt-facts thing has ruined rational yet passionate discussion.

It's probably Reagan and the birth of slick sounding but fundamentally dishonest political racism on the national stage. Once you start falling down that rabbit hole you need more and more things to justify what you are and what you support, and reality just doesn't cut it.

Trump won. They never competed for the popular vote so it doesn't matter who got more votes overall.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/whitehousemoron.asp

“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” — H. L. Mencken

This pretty much sums it up 100%.

The only measure of self worth Americans have is the degree to which they can consume. Only money can buy happiness. The satisfaction of possession is America's answer to a soulless existence.

Your new white nationalist friends were much happier when they didn't have to be "politically correct".

I finally disagree with Moonbeam.
Imo, for the masses, having a little in the bank brings safety from the inevitable next problem that needs addressing. Money cannot bring happiness. After the glitter fades the self remains.

While money might not directly buy you long term happiness it can make your search a lot easier.

After I posted I anticipated these viewpoints would be registered because I also agree with them. We have created a society in which money can buy time and time is life. But what I was referring to is that in the competition for money, the easiest way to make it for people without ethical principles, is to pray on other people. This can be criminal like stealing from them, or by psychological manipulation. Every psychopath and sociopath who places his own gratification needs above others has no problem at all with psychological manipulation. People have been conditioned in our culture to part with their money to satisfy their needs, They are brainwashed into desiring things that they are brainwashed to believe will bring happines
That is what I meant about America and money.

Also, this is only one of many possible answers to the original question, but it explains one central pillar of the problem, the corruption of basic integrity by the substitution of personal dignity for lust. Needy people are vampires. And the home of implanted or conditioned need is the ego.

Yup. Less stress=more happy
Less stress easier job of suppressing misery. Stress is the threat that what you really feel will surface into consciousness. All of our fears have already happened.

I'm really trying but, I'm failing to find any connection between Moonie's and yours.

Moonbeam's new theory is that nazis/confederates and such only came to be because they were the Real victims in all that of psychological abuse so we should've been kinder to them, plus the nazis who weren't pulling the lever on jews were only guilty of thought crime and didn't deserve denazification and so on. On the surface you wouldn't take him for that kind of apologist & sympathizer, but when someone elevates their ego above any moral virtue I suppose that's what happens.

If you truly are as smart as you claim to be, you are simply intentionally distorting what I very clearly explained:

Humanity is sick with the disease of self hate cause by being put down as children and made to feel worthless and evil for expressing needs that our needy guardians could not meet because of their own illnesses. This is a cycle that repeats itself endlessly and occasionally manifests as mass psychosis where a whole society goes right off the rails. Nazis and confederates were victims of that disease. Hate for them for being sick is just hate of oneself for having the same disease. To understand the mechanical nature of that disease isn't a kindness to them, it is a kindness to oneself. You can never cure a disease that you hate so badly you refuse to see you have.

But if you cross the line between being sick and acting out that sickness on others, you must be stopped mercilessly and without compromise.

So how or why you get to your imbecilic interpretation of what I have said to the horseshit you just posted is quite a remarkable feat. You are either incredibly stupid or you intend to inflict pain. I don't care about the first and the second is useless. I hate myself but I know it. It makes a difference in how seriously I take my self opinion.

Smart here means seeing through what you're doing same as seeing through what other amoral people do.

You have your little armchair psych theory which stack ranks highly in your mind, and taking that theory to its logical conclusion literally apologizes for the worst people possible. Now most people would stack rank avoiding the latter above their pet theories, but not people with so much ego that priority is inverted.

Funny enough, it's similarly easy to see that nazis and such simply came to be because it was in the interest of certain germans to be nazis, hitler made sure of that similar to what trump/bannon attempts for white nationalists. Denazification simply set costs for being a nazi high enough that those interests flip. We had no similar program after emancipation/civil-rights, and so our nazis carried on the best they could as interests dictate, for example whining about political correctness.

Finally, it's very much in your interest to never understand these straightforward political processes, same as its in buckshot's to never understand biological ones. And so you'll soldier on same as he does for that pet theory about his god.

The "I" can't shake it because the "I" is that fear. You can't shake it but constant awareness of that fact can allow something else that is not you to open the exit door. The door opens when one is fully aware of the hopelessness of the situation.

The Germans had a saying in the WW1 trenches. The situation is hopeless but not serious. We are really quite funny creatures and not taking oneself too seriously makes the ego's job less important.

It was literally your argument that nazis & such exist because people like me were being too mean to them, you know by setting a price on degeneracy instead of coddling them like some spoiled child; seems obvious why you would make such an argument. Keep in mind your posts here are archived for posterity.

Nazis weren't nazis out of the womb, they were indoctrinated. Much like your skit, and the bullshit news for that matter.
